You could take the widget out of the perpageHTML folder and make it like normal widget in a theme. You will need to change the Widget.html file to Wallpaper.html and put it in a folder in the THEMES folder. But that should make it work fine. All the coding will then be the same as the perpageHTML one and therefore the animations will still be in place.
That should work for what you want.

result: WORKS! (as in the universal scrolling)
my wallpaper is BLACK now, and i have a new slide to unlock thingy which i wanna remove. i tink it's just arrangement of priority of winterboard themes. lemme try.
hmm i can't seem to set my wallpaper. how do i "insert" it into the Wallpaper.html file to refer to? :/ Already tried pasting my chosen wallpaper and renamed it as Wallpaper.png in the User Wallpaper winterboard theme, placing it at top priority.
i've pasted Wallpaper.png (640x960) into the newly-created theme of winterboard-compatible HTC weather. it appears as 25% expanded into 320x480. is there any way i can make the theme display the original 640x960 resolution image on the springboard via editing the Wallpaper.html? :/
i had to resize my 640x960 imageto 320x480 in order for Wallpaper.png to work by itself. however, it no longer looks as sharp. does anyone have a solution? :/

03-02-2011, 08:26 AM #83HTML Code:
<img src="/private/var/mobile/Library/SpringBoard/HomeBackgroundPortrait.jpg" height="960" width="640" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; z-index:-4;"></img>
i dont know if that will solve your problem, but it's worth a shot

thx nick! I tried your code but it showed the 25% enlarged section. I tried editing d dimensions to 480x320 in d code n d image appears in full now. it feels tt it's better to let the phone resize via this method coz it's much nicer, compared to using Photoshop or gimp to resize smaller before setting as Wallpaper.png. thanks for the code again, nick!

Sorry I have been sort of inactive guys but the University is really taking all time away from me. Anyways I'm looking into releasing another version with some bug fixes that unfortunately only some people seem to be affected by. If there are any suggestions as to what else I should change to add let me know and also I'd like to put a vote for who would be interested in having their widget moved towards the top about 10px or so. NOTE: If you do not have any problems with your current version do NOT update since the update is only meant to fix problems that people had or if you'd like the widget moved up (to be put to a vote): also, if you end up updating you WILL have to reconfigure the configureme.js file and the widget.html if you had custom settings on them already. YOU have been warned

ok i just checked. i have Wiper.png. thing is, it's only thunderstorms here, and the thunderstorms condition don't have wiper. only rain.html has it. i shall add the wiper animation to them as well! maybe during sunny too. hahaha.

david: could u provide some advice on how i can include wiper for every type of precipitation? thunderstorm, showers, and wadever else i'm missing out? it'll be cool!
oh btw i'm using your widget via winterboard as i want it universal throughout all pages without ugly scrolling. maybe you could provide a winterboard version for everyone too by renaming Widget.html to Wallpaper.html. also, regarding the custom wallpaper, i could only set it via nick's method.

As you guys may have noticed version 1.1 of the widget is now up on Cydia it fixes some minor bugs like bumper boy's wallpaper issue and others like C and F only changing letter and not showing accurate temperature it also raises the widget 10px up so that if you turn forecast off you can fit another row of icons underneath and not interfere with the widget. bumperboy if you want the widget to show on every page you should download jsampo's version since it acts as a wallpaper and you can even put that one on the lockscreen

Ok, i updated to the new version and didn't like the position so i lowered it again. I have the lock htc widget thats mentioned on here and I have the same background for both. The problem is that after the update instead of having the seamless switch when unlocking it has a black screen flash in between them now. Any idea how to fix this? I have the LockBackground.png the same in both filesystems and set for the normal settings.
Turns out that when I took the wallpaper file and replaced it, I accidentally grabbed the non retina one while my springboard had the retina.

This 1.1 update kills my battery time. Any way to get version 1.0 back? The issue I have is that with version 1.0, I could leave my phone locked all day and my battery would be around 80-90%. This is with animations on and the update interval time left at default. With version 1.1, it drops around 20% every hour when the phone is on standby mode/locked. I changed the update interval time in the config file and it did not change anything.
Update. Just saw that deb file so installed that instead. Will use that for now. Any feedback as to what the issue with 1.1 may be will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When my phone is in standby mode (ie: screen off), my battery life is still reasonable, however, when I use the phone and have the screen on, it seems to really chew through the battery.
Mine is set to update ever hour, forecast and animation are on.
@Fatbadger, how did you find it going back to v1.0? Did it make a difference?
I'd be interested to hear other people's experiences re: battery life.
