Hi All

I know this is an old thread but thought someone might be able to help.

I have HTC Animated Widget on its own page on my Iphone 4 (5.1.1).

I want to use the backgrounds that come with the app. This is all working fine at the moment, except the background only shows on the page where the widget is. So when i flick to another page, it shows my standard wall paper.

Is there any way to change this so the widget wall paper (Which changes depending on the weather) is used throughout?

Well, you have a couple of options.

1- You can put the widget on every page.

2- You can convert it to a springboard widget and then it will always be on every page.

I dont want the weather part on every page. I only want the backgrounds and for them to change just like they do on the widget page.

Then you would have to split it into a springboard widget without the weather and a PPHTML widget without the backgrounds. Should be fairly simple.

You may also need to modify the overlay.

Did you just want the animated weather on each page and then the clock and the forecast on the first page?

I am willing to help you, but you have to be very specific as to what you want where, so I get it right. Also, would I be modding the version on the first page, or the version on your phone because you have made changes to it?

Sorry to bump this thread but i have a question that i need help with. First this is a great pphtml and i love it! Second i am changing some of the images for some of the animations for my own use only. Third i am using an iphone 4 with 5.0.1. Now my question, if i want the animated clouds to all animate as the image appers and not get flipped (sometimes the image is pointed it the direction of travel sometimes it is flipped 180 degrees) what do i need to change? Ive tried a few things but with no luck. Thanks

Sure, just recode it for the source that you would like to use. Sometimes Yahoo is not that accurate.

Honestly, if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand what is involved. You can go to the GPS thread and look up Rasputin007 alt method.

As of New Years day the HTC Animated Weather widget has stopped working on my 3GS and 4S. I even went back to the original widget, before GPS, and it's broken as well.

Is it with the yahoo API? Any idea of what can be done to get it working again?

Yes, I saw that too. There is a bug in the widget code where it's got 2012 hardcoded Fortunately, it's a simple fix. Just open the main widget.html file and search for the number 2012. It should be in a function called xml_loaded (). Just change it to 2013 and all will work again.
