[RELEASE] Apple already including Screenshot Software.

Apple already included software to take a screenshot.

Here's how: after setting a specific variable in the SpringBoard preferences file, you're able to take screenshots of anything, including the Lock screen, and the pictures will appear in the Photos so you can instantly share them just like any other picture.

No more need to install a native application. I have tested it, and it works flawlessly.
NOTE: Only for the iPhone considering the Touch does not include a Mute button.

EDIT: Mods, Sorry I did not see this was previously posted, I even performed a search using the word "Screenshot". Please close this thread.

guys, open your minds. the screenshot function is a lot more useful than simply taking a pic of the springboard. you can use it to take screenshots of :
1) google maps if you don't have edge subscription or wifi hotspot available
2) the iLog call record list to have physical records for company call reimbursements
3) your notes so you can have a copy of it in your computer since we can't sync notes
4) the todolist for the same reason as above
5) a webpage for future reference if you're offline (ex. ups/fedex tracking info for record)
6) any image from a webpage that can't be saved to the phone using ImGrab app
7) record of what is in the installed list of your phone for reference before you restore. (my personal favorite)
and many other uses aside from springboard eye candy.

Hold the Home button, keep it held while flipping the silent switch once. The screen should flash white a moment, that's when I release the Home button.
And by flip once I mean toggle once, if it's in Silent, you'll go to Audible and vice-versa.I came, I saw, I forgot what the hell I was there for.

twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

Bad picture quality?
If you're having an issue with the screenshots being blurry, try restarting the phone. Seems to work for me...

Man, I wish I thought of this a long time ago. My girlfriend always used to write me love notes and have been figuring out a way to save them, they are erased now3) your notes so you can have a copy of it in your computer since we can't sync notes
. Only if I thought of this earlier

It does not work on an iPod Touch. Apparently some of you didn't read the entire first post...

The advantages of being able to use this ANYWHERE are perfect. As far as blurry images go, you just have to wait for them to be saved. The first dock program did the same thing. It actually told you however "saving image" if you tried to email it. I haven't tried to email after using the program so it may or may not tell you that. In any case, the blurry image means the phone has not yet saved the image and is in the process of doing so. This is something old school users know from back in the dock days. when it is done saving it will clear up.

i noticed it would be blurry only initially, prolly cause its a large TIF file that it saves to instead of jpg.
