Taskbar Notifier

This iPhone application adds a small envelope icon in the taskbar when you have an unread SMS message. It is useful for reminding you from anywhere within the iPhone user interface that you have an unread message, even if you have previously pressed the "Ignore" button. This includes the lock screen.

EDIT: This works really nicely.
Make sure you chmod the binary and that you restart your phone after you are all done.

wow, i like it! i don't think i'll install it yet though since it apparently already bricked a phone... lol perhaps after the next update or so.

Well, I just installed it..now I am waiting for a text to see if it will work :-p

I just tested it (sent a text to me) and it didn't work...

CHMOD'ed the files and restarted the phone. Lets see if I can figure out why...

Ok got it working, I had the folder chdmod right but I had to go in and chmod each of the the files to get it to work.

Yep you win. The best statement of the day. At last check the term "brick" was a cell phone that did NOTHING, and NOTHING would make it work.

Crap! I just installed the 1.1.1 update because none of the 3rd party apps were that useful to me. Now comes this. Sad that I'm all excited by a simple envelope icon which 99.999% of all other phones have already.

Anyhow, in the event that installer.app gets updated for us 1.1.1. suckas, can anyone tell me if this Notifier appears in community resources? (and while I'm at it, does iSwitcher show up in CR?)

I installed this and it screwed up my summerboard. Couldn't get summerboard to function correctly after so I just installed 1.1.1.

Yes it is in installer

I installed this and it screwed up my summerboard. Couldn't get summerboard to function correctly after so I just installed 1.1.1.

Always make sure, even if it doesnt tell you to, always do a reset of the phone after installing a new app

Can anyone tell me what is CHMOD?

I installed this app but I have no icon or anything.

I've tried to search but can't seem to find what CHMOD is except that everyone already knows how to do it.

The new version has different icons for mai or sms

There is no icon, it just runs int he background and notifes you of new SMS or mail.
