hey twisted I got you beat with the mobile substrates right now running a total of 72 mobile substrates. Im quite the power user with over 475 app store apps and about 100+ cydia apps and I can happily say I get a good 160+ mbs running 2 or so apps at once on my 3gs with no probs at all (not to mention widgets and themes and such)
Oh and ibnyaffa I may just be imagining this but I think Im actually getting better battery life running supercharged. I normally get as low as 30-20% battery left when I get home from school and right now Im sitting in disbelief at 68% battery even after playing some pokemon on the bus lol. If this is from your mod I might just have to go back and return my $70 battery pack that I had to use regularly w/ my iphone.
And 786 all of the users of this mod are fully aware this mod utilizes a swapfile as it is clearly stated in the first post and these people want to get the most out of their phones that are running slower because of jailbreak extensions regardless of the fact that it will only give them 2 YEARS left but by then there will be 2 more generations of faster better iphones and ipods that wont even need this mod.Last edited by SnowLeo; 04-09-2010 at 06:57 PM.

Snowleo. U might want to fix that post. It's not my code. I just cleaned it, perfection it , and made it faster and smoother. Can't take full credit. It's an apple extention. It's all apple great work.
Just like any theme we mod and any button and code fromapple. It's all apple great workLast edited by ibnyaffa; 04-09-2010 at 01:33 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Does this need re-activated after a reboot?
Is there a way to disable?

ram with nothing running
only problem so far is after I hit free memory my phone kinda locks up for a minute or so, is this normal
I noticed you said it is smoother(?) if you use memorytap to activate? Does this mean activates smoother or run smoother?
I haz stoopid head

It will freeup memory smoother than sbs would. So u won't have that bad lock u normaly get with sbs. But running a 3g ull still see *some* lag when u freeup. And that's from sbs not from me ;-)

I have been using memorytap since after the initial activation
I rebooted a few minutes ago and noticed memory ram was down in the low 30's, that why I asked about re-activating. What's weird is after I checked your reply I exited the app and noticed memory was back up on the high 60's. I never re-activated?

When u activate it. I'll go down low. Verrrrrry low. Just keep looking at it. Then it'll Jump up. Pluse like I said.
I do it only once a week days. Cuz everytime I respring or reboot it still gives me an average of 155-165. If I need more cuz I'm about to blow backgrounder up then I push it to get my 200-205. Depnads on what u need it for. But every day use. No worries. Just do it once a week. That's what the madcoder recommends. ;-)

Yaffa, what if there was a way for it to run right after a reboot or a respring and thats it... just as we would do normally but have it auto do it that once and not all the time... just a suggestion, i hope u understand.
SNOLEO OMFG man 72 extensions?!?!?! I didnt eve know there were 72 MS extensions haha. u r wild bro.

Im still not sure how it started itself about 15 minutes after I rebooted? But it did!!
Anyway, things are still a little glitchy, i'm thinking of cleaning up the phone with a restore and trying again. I haven't restored this phone since I initially jailbroke it 4 months ago
Maybe I'll leave the launch daemons and Lang packs alone this timeLast edited by Effenpig!; 04-09-2010 at 05:32 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

It means someone is bitter about something, and they have resorted to being childish

Ok, after being totally impresses @ how fast you got the link to me (I was hoping for same night, you did same MINUTE!):
Install was clean (used iFile). Rebooted with no issues at all. Did have to restart again after I picked my activation method the first time before it would actually activate (maybe this is what you meant when you said some need to reboot twice?).
Things definitely run quicker! I had about 180 free after I activated it (where as I normally only have about 120) and after running my usual apps (not very many, just my usual junk) I STILL have 101! I have never seen it in the triple digits with all of that running!! Heck, I have seldom seen it over 60
I've only had it installed for a few hours, but it is noticeable even for the short time I have been using it.
So, initial impression is + + +.
Well worth the $2.00 and a great addition to a jailbroken phone!

This is not to free up the ram or var. This is to add an extra mb for ur phone to run faster. It's not to zip or free the ram. Just the speed
@battlecrushr. What's true ? And why the sad face.Last edited by ibnyaffa; 04-09-2010 at 06:30 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
