I dont think I would ever use a program like that. Not on my phone or even my computer. I don't feel safe at all storing that kind of information on electronic devices these days. Nifty program, but will probably never use

I used something similar with my old WM smartphone. It was usefull to have all that information at hand. Also, I had the desktop version which synched with the smartphone.
A desktop app which synchs with phone would be great.

Is the app itself password free to use or is there a Master Password to actually access the program?
09-26-2007, 01:52 PM #9
Yes, it's password free. I've been waiting for an app like this.

Am I the only one that thinks that this is a bad bad bad bad bad idea??
09-27-2007, 01:25 AM #15
I do think it is a bad idea to have a file that stores all your important info. But isn't it only bad if someone CAN get into your iPhone files and grab em?
But then again, it is a good idea. Very useful too.

i wouldnt mind using it, if itself was password protected, then they could incorporate password protected documents
09-27-2007, 12:09 PM #18
^^^it itself IS password protected btw
09-27-2007, 12:56 PM #19Not Bad
I, personally have been waiting for an app like this. I have tons of passwords, which I am not to concerned about, but cant write them down and want them to be somewhat private. I wouldnt put my credit card info in there, but for basic passwords I am all over it.

the file in the /var/root/Library/Lockbox/Lockbox_v1.dat is encrypted as well
i will definitely store my info in it
im superprotective of my iphone so it probably wont get stolen, and if it did what are the chances of the thief being able to look into my phone, find that file, and unencrypt it
and if you are paranoid, what are the chances of them doing all that before you finish calling my bank, credit card companies, and changing your email password
my iphone is now perfect, with the key features i wanted added in by mobile todolist, lockbox, vnotes, rss, and summerboard (and games and other stuff to customize it, but a password vault was the last major one i wanted! a big thank you to nathan!)"The glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall."
