if you read bigboss' blog it will show you more free memory because its showing you your HD free space as your memory and what not so it will fool you into thinking you have more free memory available and the rest will be a placebo effect

Go Gators!!!
Go Magic!!!

This is similar to the VM, where encrypted swap files are created, just in different directories. I installed it and did notice a difference, so to me it is not a fake per se. A fake does NOTHING. Truth in advertising is a different thing. I'm going to compare to see which tweak works better for me.

While removing is great, what about the money? Because if he lied about the program then I don't think he was truthful about where the money is going to go.
So refunds?????HOP

after i go and make a post linking to your post on the other forum, you come in here and post it anyway lol
and yes...vroom does work indeed! i took it off my phone to run my phone all day without vroom since i havent in about a month. i wanted to see how much "better" my phone would be speed and battery wise and overall smooth operating wise without the tweak. HA HA HA....right. my phone was so laggy and battery died almost twice as fast without the tweak. It would crash out of apps and games like mad, and it would even freeze up and boot me into safe mode twice throughout the day. The battery died at 6% instead of dying at 1% like w/the tweak. Then when it turned back on it fired up at 11% instead of between 2-5% like w/the tweak. I put the tweak back and and its staying. I'll be getting a new phone when the next one comes out anyway so to those who say "it'll wear out your device prematurely"....go suck an egg will ya? a) it won't kill your device sooo prematurely that you'll give to sh*ts and b) even if it WOULD and me and everyone else are totally wrong saying it wont....WHO CARES because WHO will have their phone more than 2yrs anyway that are this involved into the theming/modding/coding world? no one...because people that care to have their idevices for more than 2+ years aren't the people theming and modding away at them. :end rant: rofl

I knew it was a fake when he said he did work in Haiti. A friend of mine tried to solicit donations by saying his iphone was broken, too.
Besides, all his tweak was suppose to do was manage the startup programs by editing a plist, which anyone can do on their own for free

So on to VM then. The NAND Flash storage (MLC) has an avg. of 100,000 safe "read/writes", and under normal, average use we may do on top end 100 read/writes a day using VM. So then, 100,000 / 100= 1,000 days of safe read/writes. 1,000 / 365= 2.74 years before "wear" would render the swap file sectors unstable, at which time they are "mapped as bad" and a new sector is used to write to. I visited (easy to Google) tech pages for the drive makers and read reliable (start at Wiki and read it ALL) tech. info. on the drives and their limits.
For me, I think I can use the VM tweak without killing my phone. Just saying...

^ are you counting on the normal read/writes without VM? It doesn't look like that to me.

As I stated on the other thread, the "normal read /writes" MUST be deemed "safe" by Apple, knowing they'd have a massive lawsuit IF ANY and ALL of their stated "normal" operations on the iPhone are truely dangerous or damaging to the device, other than the accepted levels of deterioration on any device. Just my opinion, just for me.

I'm just sayin that it's adding (100?) more per day to the normal writes/reads.

Tiger, I guess I misunderstood and perhaps did not express myself clearly. The only read/writes I am refering to are those that are a result of using the swap files from VM. As I said, all others are caused by apps and system software deemed safe by Apple and developers and NOT using the swap files for anything, since they of themselves do not create a VM directory for use. If Apple and app developers state their software does not harm the phone in any way, ergo approved for normal use and life expectancy of perhaps 5 years, then NONE of these are causing unnecessary read/writes. Anyways it's just for interesting conversation. All I'm hoping for is a consensus on the reasoning behind the statements.

If it's fake, it's fake. No questions asked.
This thread should be closed. It's fake.

Ok, to "clarify", the functionality of enabling VM is NOT a fake, any other claims unrelated to this are another subject. Trying to get away from the name calling and get to actually something with substance. What I am posting is regarding the VM functionality, NOT of this is stolen, mis-represented, misapropriated, etc. And the comments are valid for the VM plist tweak as well, not just this one.
