camera mode

Is it just me or does anyone else find holding the iphone to use as a camera - especially for video - very awkward? I find I have a lot of pix of my thumb or finger, especially when snapping in landscape mode.
Is there an easy solution? does a cover help?

A case might help your hands not slip as much, but hold the phone with your left hand and use your right pointer finger to take the pic...
