There is no 8 character code in parentheses in my address bar.
11-16-2009, 03:36 PM #23
it doesn't show it in parentheses i just put them in as an example of what your looking for. Make sure you type the city and state and not search by zip code. for some reason it didn't work when i tried the zip code. You should see it in the address bar and if your in the us it will start with US then the state. It should look like USAZ0028

For those of you as geek challenged as I am here is what you do.
-type in your city and search
-in the menu bar, you’ll find an 8 digit code that looks like this CAXX0504
-SSH into the device
-go to /System/Library/LockCydgets/HTCHero.cydget/Private
-find ConfigureMe.js and download it to your desktop
-open ConfigureMe.js with a text editor
-if you want celsius, change var isCelsius = false to true
-beside var locale = put your city code. Mine is CAXX0504
-upload it back to the phone
That’s it folks. That is how it’s explained for 99.9% of the people out there.
If you think it’s worth the hassle, enjoy.

This would make Cydget the perfect solution (for me at least). A nice calendar app. See attached graphic.

Hope this gets more development. I understand Element will use Cydgets as a substrate, not sure about this though.

HTC Hero looks fine but, without an option for a 24 hour clock, it is totally useless.
The clock it displays is wrong for half of every day.

Hi guys. I have a question. I am using CyDialer right now. I also use (and prefer) a "tap to unlock theme. What I want to know is, where does CyDialer get it's "Slide to call/answer" strings from? I would love to get ride of this conflict with the tap to unlock. I have already nlooked in the CyDialer app, but there are no system strings in it. Might it be possible to add the system strings from the tap to unlock theme into CyDialer to get the result I am looking for, or is there another way?
Thanks for any help guys!

Is there a way to move between widgets? I'm trying to move from lockscreen to fb, but not sure how to do it.
Also, is there another way to log in to fb through the widget? I can never type in the pw, and when I click on the login through http, I can't get over to the login fields.

02-08-2010, 11:38 PM #36Problem with "Enter Passcode" Screen
I am wondering if anybody has the same problem and/or a solution for said problem.
I have LockCalendar installed (with Cydget) and every time I slide to unlock my phone (I have passcode enabled) then the words "Enter Passcode" overlay the time and other such stuff in the background. This does not happen when I disable Cydget.
Anybody got a fix?
Here is a screenshot:

I like the cydget, but I would love even more options for apps to work with it. I also know a few seconds lag time, anyone else experience this or just me, any fixes? Also, what are your responses to people saying that a JB iphone runs smoother with winterboard uninstalled? I'm using the HTC clock bu the weather from quickwidgets, uses my location without changing, but not sure if it will adjust as you travel, anyone?
