Lockinfo & Weather - just cant get weather showing. help...

Ok, I have a JB 3.1.2 3GS with Lockinfo installed along with "Weathericon Lockinfo Theme".

My main theme is MAC OSX Leopard Theme, however I have selected "Lockinfo Matte Weathericon" in Winterboard along with my main theme.

I have the default weather app configured to my nearest UK city.

I have rebooted the phone and go into settings / lockinfo / plugins but there is no Weathericon plugin available even though its shown as installed in Cydia?

I don't get any weather shown on my lock screen either.

Any ideas as would really like to get this working?

you must downloads weathericon in cydia also, the Lockinfo Matte Weathericon that you activated in cydia is a theme for weathericon. Then after you download weathericon go into settings and down to weathericon and turn it on, oh and in case you didn't know you need preference loader to view 3rd party app settings.

Great thanks for the info. I now have weather showing on the lockscreen however it only shows temp and day name. It doesn't have any icons to show sunny or raining etc.

Do I need anything more?

My weather icons are no longer showing on my home screen. Just started this morning. Used to show fine, but not anymore.

The temperature shows, but not the icons.

I had it happen on the lockscreen it would not show the image of the weather. I found it was some problem with the theme that I was using with the lockinfo stuff. The icon of weather has never disappeared. Have you tried to reinstall the weathericon that updates the temp and reinstall it maybe that will work.

Katra-based weather didn't help. It looks like a self contained weather app that will fill my lock screen and not leave any room for my lockinfo stuff

I only see the temp on lock screen and all I see on my status bar is the temp ( no icon - should there be one here?)

something doesn't seem quite right with it. Can't see if it's gonn rain or be sunny!

I am running WeatherIcon from Modmyi source.

Any other ideas?

Mine worked for about two hours then suddenly the icons dissapeared? Now the temps have gone as well!!

is you look in settings and weathericon you can change if the icon on the status bar will be there or just the temp

If you want the icon to show next to the temp on status bar download Katra-based weather then enable it like I said above. Then should work

Just to be clear, are you all using WeatherIcon or some Weather plugin for an HTML theme for LockInfo. The HTML themes for LockInfo (Gruppled, Matte, etc) are unstable and have lots of issues with things disappearing all the time. I highly recommend turning of those themes and trying the native rendering (with WeatherIcon for weather people) if you want a stable LockInfo.

Thought HTML themes work with the latest LockInfo, they are horribly out of date and not well maintained now that LockInfo is officially released with a native rendering mode.

Ok, so I installed Katra-based Weather icons and turned on "Status Bar Image" under Settings / Weather Icon. This made no different to the Status bar or even lockinfo weather.

I did a respring in between and no difference show.

Any other ideas on how to get this working? Please note I am not using the MattUI theme.

For the status bar image you need the weathericon downloaded via cydia then download and check katra-based in winterboard. That should work. That is one issue for the lockscreen issue what theme are you using that has the lockscreen weather. I have lockinfo installed and if I uncheck everything in winterboard it goes to the default lockscreen with mail and weather stuff on it. Also try to rearrange the stuff in winterboard put the theme that has the lockscreen info all the way on top. See if that works

Also do you have no weather icon installed in cydia? That will turn it off??????

Arhh ok so I was missing the bit where I had to enable in winterboard. One I did this both status bar and lockinfo weather icons sprang into life.

MDavenPort, Can you please let me know how you got Kantra to not be a self-sustained weather application?

I am trying to update the small weather icon on the LockInfo screen. I have also loaded Kantra into Winterboard. When I activate it, it loads the temp and a picture behind all of my LockInfo information.

Currently, my LockInfo Weather is correct in the temperature field, but the small icon is always showing thunderstorms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I noticed on LockInfo's webpage they are showing that you can have an icon for each of the next 5 day forecast. Does anyone know how to accomplish that? Does it make a difference that I am using The Weather Channel as my weather application (in the WeatherInfo settings?)

you could try to download IBnyaffa weather icon theme and see if that work. Also try to change zip code that is being used to pull weather.

I actually ended up looking back on your previous post as well. I had downloaded Katra Weather, not Katra Based Weather. After installing Katra based everything works! Thanks for your help!
