Can anyone explain this process for idiots like me?? Very simple terms please. I tried through fugu and there isn't a cydia folder after media
08-19-2009, 09:50 PM #24easier way
#1 OPEN CYDIA
#2 go to MANAGE
#3 go to EDIT
#4 Hit ADD
#5 type in http:*//iphonesch.iespana.es/repo/]Cette page est en construction*
#6 add it
#7 Search for Set Wallpaper and install it
Take out the * if i made it the URL it says its under construction and doenst give you the physical address
That should do it for ya!

There is actually a command in the wallpaper.dylb file located in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries that assigns the icon text to white.
I tried to edit the file with notepad in windows, but everytime I change the color name or remove the command completely, setwallpaper stops working. If I reinstall, it works again... I assume that using notepad corrupts the file somehow.
So, if someone has a proper program to edit the dylib file, perhaps this will resolve this problem.
Then maybe that person would be cool enough to post the file so us transparent font users could overwrite ours and enjoy a custom SMS background too!Praise the Devs! To each and every one of you who spend your time writing code and making apps for little or no profit... Its YOU that makes the iPhone great, NOT Apple!! From me to you, a million thanks!!

08-20-2009, 06:31 PM #34No dock icons? No problem
OK here is the STEP by STEP
#1 - go to the first page on this thread you will see the download for the file there called SetWallpaper_2.1.0.deb
The Guy posted this and it is the best way to do it after some research
#2 - SSH into your phone and go to /var/root/Media/
#3 - in this folder create this directory Cydia/AutoInstall/
#4 - now you should have /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/
#5 - in the AutoInstall folder drag in the SetWallpaper 2.1.0.deb file
#6 - REBOOT your phone
#7 - go to settings wallpaper and choose from photos or wallpapers and click on the left i on the screen and its set
Doing it this way you should notice that now if you use no dock icon etc it works again! - WELL IT WORKED FOR A WHILE LOL still watiting to see the fix on this
hope that helps!
