[release]iRemote - remotely launch tasks on your PC!
iRemote (download attachment, no installer yet)
Ever thought of using the iPhone to say, change a song on your iTunes while you are nowhere near your computer? (party times) or just plain lazy to use your keyboard to do so
Now with iRemote you can do so. However please note that this is a beta release and the features are not polished yet.
Requirements :
A home network built on a wifi router.
Instructions :
1. Unzip everything
2. Transfer iRemote to your iphone via ssh, 775 it.
3. open the other iremote software packaged in the zip on your PC.
4. press "Start"
5. on the left you can see TASKS, and FILENAME. You can ignore tasks for now, just add in any file (full path) you want to launch into the FILENAME textbox, press Add.
6. This will be sequential. In your iphone you will have 5 options to launch. the first file you insert will be the first option.
7. To know your computer's IP address, go start > Run , type "CMD' and type ipconfig.
8. On your iphone, launch iRemote. type in the computer's ip address. then press return.
9. If everything works well, a welcome sign will be shown. and 5 options are there for you to select.

download the ocx from here : http://www.afreeocx.com/ocx/info/mswinsck_ocx.html
and put it together with iRemote.exe
also make sure that your iphone and computer must be on the same wireless network or it will not work =)
have fun! (you can also use it to launch movies, documents or programs.)Why Donate : Because apps should not have a pricetag =)

Hi guys,
you can easily find out the full path by right clicking the file and pressing properties , then look in location. This does not contains the filename tho, so you have to type in the location of the file and the filename as well.
Next release I will make it easier, by providing a file browser ^^ hope you guys find this useful. Why Donate : Because apps should not have a pricetag =)

Pretty cool! So, how would you go about changing songs in iTunes, say?
Do you have any batch scripts or whatever is needed to accomplish this?If you like or found helpful anything I have said, please click that nice little Thanks button!

where's the zip? I downloaded the app from the installer, and the .rar from the other forum post, but I can't log into the phone one and the computer's part doesn't look at all the same!
I got it to start up, but after the splashscreen it boots me back to the springboard. how might I fix this?Last edited by attredies; 05-17-2008 at 08:31 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
