All it does is move winterboard into the settings app and remove the icon

No problems installing this upgrade on my 3G. No safe mode issue.

The update does more than hide winterboard in the settings. Actually, it gives you the option to keep it hidden or not.
Looks like there's a setting to apply winterboard to only the springboard, "potentially" freeing up memory to your phone, and helping with application performance (and so far, it seems to work great! No more stuck screens when quitting apps, everything zooms like it should normally)
You can also disable winterboard, add logs, and adjust your themes like normal. A spiffy mod! I belive (edit)Stimpy5050 put this out.Last edited by anarchydude; 07-07-2009 at 07:24 AM.

LOL
this has been put out by David Ashman (Stimpy5050)
its been out for a while now just not on the MMI repo or to the masses.
Its a very nice tweak and has a lot of uses.
and BTW : it works fine on 3GS once you update ur MobileSubstrate and Winterboard the new 3GS versions.Last edited by Carrbone; 07-07-2009 at 12:54 AM.

Guys, I need help.
I am using 8GB iPhone 3G with os 3.0.
I installed winterboard settings and didn't like it. So I uninstalled it. While I was using it, I has the springboard only option on. Now after I uninstalled winterboard settings, that setting wasn't reverted back to normal.
I tried reinstalling winterboard settings, but now it doesn't show up in my iPhone's settings menu.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance.

Make sure preferenceloader is also installed. There seems to be a dependency bug that doesn't install preferenceloader sometimes. Once that's installed, you should see it in the settings app.
Sorry, my postrm doesn't reset that setting. My bad. I'll fix that in the next release.

Didn't say it was. There are some posts from non-3GS users in this thread.
