If that's the case, do this:

Put the file wherever, just take note of the location.
Now type cd /private/var/mobile/ Or wherever the location was.
Then procede with the dpkg -i pacakagename.deb

If it's this hard for you to install the app I question your ability to use BETA software.

package? where and how?

Newbie here can someone explain to me how to install this?

I think I have copied the 1b8.deb file into the "root" folder but I have no idea where or how to run that package?

Can someone explain how and where I find this package to run it?

thanks

Any other steps?

Well this is the instructions I received.

OS 3.0
Mobile Substrate
WinterBoard
NO MMPFlip installed (this RUINS Supreme Preferences 3.0)

INSTALLATION:
Copy SupremePreferences3.0_1b8.deb to /private/var/root on your device.

Run dpkg -i SupremePreferences3.0_1b8.deb - exit Terminal and activate Supreme Preferences 3.0 in WinterBoard

I see no mention pertaining to these instructions?

thanks

Yeah everybody got the same instructions. Mine are different, because I've installed different betas before and this is just the way I do it. I'm pretty sure there are different ways. Iamhottguy even posted a different way.

If you can't install a .deb, you shouldn't mess with beta software. Just sayin

Does this override the ORIGINAL settings? I see some settings that are redundant. And if I disable SupremePreferences in SBSettings Mobile Substrate section then this will disable SP all together right?

Also, would anything in this app have an effect on battery life? Thanks
