There is no real application executable, just Springboard catches the action when you click on the icon, and locks the screen without launching any app, so there is no flash to animate the app in/out. When you put it in Categories, there is no real application to run.

I've added a real executable to the app directory, so now there is a real app, which can lock the screen. From Springboard it still works like before, but now it even works from Category.

Could you check if it before I post the update? Don't you think from Categories the app animation is kind a annoying (the lock doesn't happen immediately)?

When I set it as a double click home to lock button it doesn't work. It also doesn't work if I put it in a category. It's like it only works on the springboard. :-(

Yes it works. I do agree the animation is annoying. I'm not using it from categories. I'm using it as a double click home button to lock. :-) It'll be kool if it could lock instantly with double clicking home button (not exiting the app and launching the invisible Default.png then locking) but I'm already content with it. Maybe a different custom SBDoubleTapURL in com.apple.springboard.plist? Thank a lot too.

Version 0.1.0 (The one in Cydia) works on 3.0. However, the recent packages above (0.1.1 & 0.1.2) don't work, just crashes.

Dunno why I trusted you on this one - 0.1.2 works perfect here. Newest msubstrate and all fine
