Looks cool, so I installed. It did not show message dialog when I received a new email...not sure if I missed something, or it just did not work.

Of course the email and memory alert options are "enabled".

Going to test now.

ETA - installed fine.

Worked for first notification.

Then safe mode.

Will try more.

When is the alert supposed to pop up?

Is it only when you have the phone awake and a new message comes in?

My phone is asleep, I hear it vibrate for a new message, I wake it but I'm not seeing the Grip box.

ETA - simply not working for me.

Okay so in doing some reading it seems if you have e-mail set to PUSH it won't work. Has to be set to a time to check for new mail.

I noticed it didn't work when the phone was asleep but I wasn't aware it wouldn't work when push was active. It worked for me just fine for the memory notifications though, it's a nice piece of information to have.

I'm still not sure if it has to have PUSH off to work on not.

I uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted and left push on.

It's now working with Push on.

Problem is the alert stays up for only 1 second and then disappears. Basically if you manage to turn on your phone while your new mail notification is playing you'll see it. Any later and you'll miss it.

I played with the settings and the sticky function and it's now working, meaning the alerts stay up until I dismiss them.

you may need to turn Push on

1. Open Settings
2. Tap 'Fetch New data'
3. Turn Push ON
4. Set whether you want 15 min, 30 min, or an hour.

Now your iPhone will check for new e-Mails every 15 min, 30 min, or hour.
