Ants!

Just released within the last 24 hours.

Interactive "game" which involves ants crawling around on your screen. Based on the principles of A-Life, they react to what you do. Kill them, shake them off, scare them.

It's kinda buggy, the main one being you can't use Dock along with it right now. But check it out!

Lock the screen. Or go to the pref screen and disable.

copy ants to app and put the other files where it said to and chmod 777 in ants app dir file call ants have set it up for 7 ants cannot get it to run

When you unlock they start again. What pref screen? I installed via pxl over safari. I have no icon or .app folder.

Well, I found you can stop by ulctl and unload -w the net.schine.ants .

This app runs kinda wierd.
Sometimes no Ants appear, so time quite a few do.
Try a few things like shaking the phone, laying it flat, opening the Ants App and opening other apps. Be patient.

it is weird..kinda cool though...i only saw three of them....pour some sugars on the screen..they'll come out..hahahaha. Fun app.

Every time I go into the settings I enable ants and click done, then it crashes? and no ants appear and the setting is turned off again.

I have found that Ants may not work well with Dock (by nate.true). For some reason one will load in place of the other.

If anyone sees ants AND has dock up at the same time please screenshot it to prove me wrong (I want to be wrong!)

You are right...right after i installed ants..and noticed that Dock has dissappeared..three ants came out...unintalled Dock, reinstalled Dock...Ants disappeared...still havent seen one yet. Good catch. I'll take Ants off for now..will wait for updated version.

Took Ants off...Dock disappeared also..had to reinstall Dock again.

I think this App is really fun. My co-workers think is really cool. I think the ringer HUD going on and off option is kind of worthless. I did set it to 10 ants and only see three at anytime. I do like being able to shake them off. A selection of insects would be a nice addition...spiders, cockroaches, flies. It is so cool to look over and see them running around on your screen.

Yeah I haven't seen any...guessing its not working. I have dock installed too...so I am guessing that maybe why.

Sounds cool though.

There is a new update, but I can't install it...gives me an error. Anyone else?

what would be really cool is if you touched them for a second or two, then the magnifying glass came up and started cooking them....
