ok now its not working even after SSHing and making 755, it worked for a bit now it opens , stays open a minute then closes

Protip: you're wasting your time, customize sucks.. and it would be halarious/aggrivating if you guys took the time to get the app to open, and then realized that SpicyChicken's servers weren't even up and you couldn't download anything... :P

But yeah, I stick with winterboard.

I know, so did I, but the server which hosted all the files is down... so when you get it running you can't do anything haha...

yeah...hah... but i have to get it running sometime, regardless is the servers are up or down.... i guess ill just wait for it to go up on cydia. Im sure by that time his servers will be back up.

ok i got it....

extract the customize app folder.
open the folder
cut out CustomizeApp Folder and move it to the desktop
delete the folder named customize.app
rename CustomizeApp to Customize.app
Copy to the applications folder set app folder to 755
open folder select files then set permissions to 777
respring
works (besides the system strings as of now but they show up..)

I got mine to run the first try, but the server is still down (even for premium users.) I used winscp to ssh it in then applied 777. Never crashed, but am trying to apply the themes now (I think I still have some from last year, lol)

PS remember if you dont see the icon on the homescreen after respring, delete the mobile\library\caches\com.apple.mobile.installatio n.plist file and respring. I havent had any luck getting the icon to appear after sbsettings resprings lately.

I was under the impression that he stopped development on it, which is why his site has been up/down and not updating the app. Most of customizes difficultys with 2.x where the massive filename/location changes. Customize copies over the original images while winterboard doesnt. Winterboard isnt very user friendly when it comes to customizing. It is the most powerful just not friendly. Spicy should really work on a customize app that uses Winterboard power, but with customizes ui

The servers should be easy to get back up (no one has been using them for months)

And I tried applying a theme (signal bars) with no luck. I am going to remove winterboard and try again

Still no luck changing any image or changing the .strings (The previous customize version changed the strings on every firmware 2.0-2.1) I am giving up until I hear progress
