For those of you wanting to setup lighttpd on 2.0 go to this link. This method starts you out fresh, so you don't need any backup files from your old working lighttpd before 2.0.

http://www.modmyi.com/forums/native-...ver-2-0-a.html

Worked great for me! Now just waiting for PHP release

I'm having a similar problem with mp3/mp4 files. Everything used to work just fine, but now I've got a lego block for a video icon, the audio icon is the unknown.

I've read just about every post in this thread. And the other one.

Maybe some other package messed up the MIME types? Nah.
But what else can I look at....?

1.1.4 running the 1.5.1 code. If that matters.

Actually, it was a PHP file generated every time you open that folder/site. Giving you just the .php file would lead to nowhere as it's just a bunch of lines.

I see, does this work on 2.0 too? I'll check it out soon.

I've never tried it on 2.x (there was no Lighttpd/PHP for 2.0 when 2.0 arrived). There are several other more/less polished apps that do exactly the same.
Files, Finder, Air Sharing...

You're mistaken. Almost all the file management apps open videos and photos. I have used Files, DataCase and Air Sharing to do that.

True, very true. However, lighttpd with PHP based index.html was (and as far as I have found) the ONLY app/configuration that opened any and all file types. Most of the apps that I have seen will do video but not docs, docs but not video, music but not video, etc, etc, etc. And, the ones that do more (Caravan, for example) has differences from the lighttp config version that I don't like.

This is MY opinion, and what I prefer, and others are certainly going to disagree, and are welcome to do so.
