With all the new features MobileChat has now, Apollo IM is done, down and count for the count.

The best feature is the landscape mode and not to mention the use of Imsomnia to keep the connection alive. I once again love my iphone...

It's available in installer, go get it!

Over at appleiphoneschool they said that it runs over edge as well, slow but it works. I have T-Zones and i can confirm it does not work through T-Zones, but I pay 5.99, what do I expect.

That's cause they were using MSN. It crashes when you use AIM & EDGE.

How do you add a new contact? I have two msn accounts. I log in to the first and try to add the second, which i have online on my computer. But MobileChat only says that my second account is offline when i send a message.

the new 2.23 now supports Asian Characters. in 2.21, and apolloIM the asian characters would appear as garbled letters.

Kudos on this new upgrade.

Mobilechat 2.21 suffered from the overuse crash syndrome, whereby the program would exit suddenly without warning, if you are chatting hard out. THe same would occur with ApolloIM. Good thing about 2.21 is that it now shows all my contact list, whereas in the past, some would not appear.

Will do rigorous testing on 2.23 to see if this sudden overuse crash syndrome problem has been resolved.

display picture support (personal and contact)
emoticons (defaults)
nudge (like apollo or wtv)
sms style chats

Bang!!! it just crashed out!!!! So 2.23 does not fix the overuse crash syndrome bug ;(

Mabe it is possibly related to how much messages is in the history, I will now try to purge the chat history more to see if this helps.!!

Also it would be nice if "HTTP://" type links would be recognised as web links, and hence allow the user to direct open safari and that link.

Hehe, hope they add these features you mention, although some are already implemented.

SMS style chats are already implemented, and it seems that display picture support may be in development based on the very blank personal profile page.

Emotions and nudge will be handy.

But please please firstly, lets make the program run more stable first. The sudden overuse crash syndrome really makes this program not so usable.
