yes had a few bumps, but it is unlocked now and using tmobile... whoot whoot..... I got it to work with a little bit of help from Hackintosh.com. here is this link for the tutorial that I used http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...5968#post45968

Here guys.. I didn't get screenshots cause I already had these on my phone... Maybe someone already has some generic ones to match the first part

EDIT-- I NEVER removed my sim card the ENTIRE process. Just leave it in and you can swap sims when its all done

This is going to be a PC tuturial assuming you have nothing on your phone (meaning fresh reboot) and you want to unlock with windows.

First. Get iBrickr here > iBrickr Download page

Install iBrickr and "Free your phone" following Nate Trues guide on the software.

Install PXL from iBrickr

Install Applications in this order from the applications in iBrickr.
1. Binkit
2. Installer

Disconnect your phone from Dock and iBrickr

Verify you are connected to the internet by going to settings>Wi-fi

Launch Installer from the icon on your homescreen.

Install in this order from the Installer app
1. Community Sources
2. BSD Subsystem
3. Open SSH

Reboot your phone

Next get the SSH kit for your phone here> SSH kit for windows.
Unzip the folder to you desktop or wherever you can access it easily

Run the sshify-windows.bat file from the folder and follow the instructions in the command prompt.

Get Windows SCP here > Win SCP download

Run WinScp and then login by entering your ip address (found in settings>WiFi>"your routername >" name: root password :dottie (These are the default) Also switch from SFTP to SCP

Get the Unlock.app files here > Unlock Download

Navigate to the Applications folder in WinSCP
1. Drag in Unlock.app to the Applications folder
2. Go into the Unlock.app folder and set permissions to 0777 or 07555.
3. Go INSIDE the Unlock.app and set permissions on all files to 0777 or 0755
Exit WinScp

Reboot your Phone

Upon restart..
Launch the Unlock app by clicking the icon.
Click the start button ONCE and let it do its thing =) DONT touch anything

In about 20 mins.. It will tell you its done. Reboot and place your new sim in

does the phone still work after unlock when i have an ATT service package.. only reason id be unlocking is for when i go out of town to another country and id like to use a prepaired card

Mine works fine. I verified the edge works and visual voicemail.
I unlocked mine for the same reason =)

i get a white screen once i click it thru the iphone i have unlock.app installed using winscp and writes on the directory set to 0777 rebooted also.. and tried.. still a white screen it crashs back to the main desktop on the phone afterwards

Id did it with my sim in. I dont think it matters.

As far as the white screen.. after the permissions were set if you did not reboot.. it will do that. ALSO.. Make sure to set permissions the the file IN the directory.. not the directory

got any idea what we should backup in case smething goes wrong

You really only need to set the "program" files, not the images.. But you can do them all by shift clicking and its faster. Wont make any difference.

Yes set them all in the directory.

Nothing should go wrong =)

Sorry being thick here, done everything. That unlock file you say download, do we creat a new folder in applications called Unlock.app or just copy the files namely ice03.14.08_G.fls, iunlock, lockdownd & nor to the applications directory?

When I restart my phone, I can only see installer on the dock...no iphone app icon

updated!!!!! after i had the problem with it crashing back to the main screen.. i thought id wait 20 mins so i did.. nothing.. so i figured the program just crashed.. and it cut off my wifi and stuff.. so i restarted the program.. and it didnt crash this time.. waited 20 mins.. said it was done.. restarted the phone.. and bambo.. works like a charm!!!! thanks you guys your amazing
