iReal SMS 2.0.7.4 on V2.2

Anyone else experiencing issues with this?

When i send a text the app closes and takes me back to springboard and shows the icon that the text as sending.

I have to go back into the app to clear it.

The iRealSMS site says NOT to update to that version yet due to a huge bug. Wait for the fix and then see if it goes away. I'm glad I didnt update this morning.

yea i always check the Changelog before updating to see what's new.

this is what the Changelog says:

PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE TO 2.0.7.4 !!!

THERE IS A SERIOUS BUG IN THIS UPDATE

A hotfix was sent to the repository host but it is night there atm

So dont worry too much, there should be a fix sometime soon.

%$#& ... Being that iRealSMS had become a trusted app to me, I did not do my due diligence and am now on the unhappy 2.0.7.4 bugwagon.

Hope that update comes soon.

i just downloaded a update to the 2.0.7.4.....it says its updating to 2.0.7.5...we'll see i guess

I installed the 2.7.4 last nigth and it was giving me hell, IT kept taking me to randow youtube videos and would crash when creating a new text, A serious bug, kinda scared me from using this app farther.

2.0.7.5 is on Cydia now. Just downloaded and reinstalled. Rebooted, and all seems back to normal.

cydia says 2.0.7.5 but after installing, ireal still reports it is version 2.0.7.4. probably an oversight in rushing to get an update out and it probably is the right version. anybody else notice this?

^same on mine. Interestingly, on their website they list it as 2.0.7.6.

2.0.7.6 is now on Cydia, and properly denoted as such in the app. This update addresses more bug fixes.

In use, haven't experienced any issues.

FYI - anyone else annoyed that the keyboard always pops up when using the quick reply feature? I don't necessarily want to reply - just want to see it. Preferred the 2.0.7 original popup version.

if you hit close, the keyboard goes away. i don't see the problem. more times than not, i wold rather reply without hitting an extra key to populate the keyboard. personally, i like the new setup. the ability to scroll through long messages in the quick reply screen is also a vast improvement.

Agreed. Still I would prefer having the option in the prefs, to turn the auto-keyboard on/off.

Some people (incl. myself) don't always want to answer a message right away. And if I'm busy with something else, the keyboard popping up can be pretty disturbing. Others might see this differently, but adding a option for that would make everybody happy, wouldn't it?!

Hey guys

Bit of a problem here.

I don't get the 'number in a circle' on the iRealSMS icon whenever I get a new SMS (like if there are updates on App Store or Cydia - there's a number within a circle on the top right of the icon)

- this isn't my phone, just an example!

I also no longer get the new SMS icon in the status bar with StatusNotifier.

Anyone else having these probs or know of a fix?

I'm running firmware 2.2, iRealSMS 2.0.7.6 with compat mode off and StatusNotifier 0.2.10

Found the fix - it's the option to 'Mark always as read' that's doing it.

1) Why do messages stay marked unread, when I already replied to them via quickreply? They slowly start to build up and the next thing I know it shows I have 10 unread SMS messages when I dont!

2) Why does Clippy copy/paste pop up line over-lap the iRealSMS send button? Who should fix it Clippy or iRealSMS? I hate having to shut off capslock/shift before I can hit send. (one more step bogs me down every time)
