My ebay APP Help Please

it just showed up on my phone not too long ago.

What sort of guarantee is there that this app is clean - that is it won't take your ebay account info and send it to mainland China for sales of non-existent iPhone 16gb phones - unlocked of course?

I doubt it but you never know. It won't work not unless you buy a token2 for $10 off of their website though

I was refering to Mac method which was already posted:

1. install and register the widget "eBay Watcher" on your mac.
2. follow the steps to obtain the eBay token.
3. run Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access on your mac and select the item eBayWacher
4. copy the token (entire entry) in "Show password" field
5. right click on the iPhone application "my eBay.app" and select "Show Package Contents"
6. double click on the file Data.plist
7. select the item Token and paste the token into the value field
8. save and quit "Property List Editor"
9. download the "My eBay.app" to your iPhone.

I provided a little howto for people who have windows not macintrash. I wasnt trying to be a smartass, I was saying that we KNOW all this already, the TOKEN was the problem. No one knew how to get the TOKEN, Key word there, TOKEN, Not installing the software. TOOOOOOOOOOKKKENNNN....We had the software installed.

For windows users, here is a way to do it, if you are familiar with WinSCP Click Below.

What software are you talking about?! Widget for Mac? You can get the TOKEN through unregistered widget!
How? Click (i) in the right bottom corner! And follow the steps to obtain the eBay token.

lolol.....it doesnt matter. Well from what I can see, its about the "My eBay App" for the iPhone, So, This has nothing to do with widgets for the mac.

Vger, I was only stating that people was wasting forum space by saying, its doable, get a mac. Its better to not say a word if you dont know the answear. It wasnt directed at you or to make you get defensive towards me, but to help other people solve thier problems.

I needed to reboot my mac so that the token would show up in keychain

I did everything signed up as a developer and copied the tokens, but it still wont show anything. It doesnt say it failed it just says that im not watching or bidding on anything.

Thanks for the guide link for windows but I've not got it working yet.

I signed up as a developer and created the token (s) I pasted that into the >Token Here< location and replaced the original Data.plist file but I get an error message "Token Missing" I tried again and got the same message.

incidentley eBay also generated a "Rest Token" whatever that is, do I need to paste that also? if so where?

Another approach with Windows: If you have windows (vista), you can load the ebay sidebar tool (i suspect this will also work for gagdets in win xp that use the ebay token). You can access the token from your registry editor in: HKCU\\Software\\eBay Sidebar Tool\\users\\token

Then copy and paste the token into data.plist using SCP as described above
