Runs fine on 1.1.4. Havent tried changing the system fonts, but have a nice modded notes font and outer clock font.

First, set the permissions:
/bin/chmod -R 755 /Applications/FontSwap.app
Then setuid
/bin/chmod +s /Applications/FontSwap.app/FontSwap
to get it to work. It is firmware-independent and created by Skylar. The directions I posted are his from ipodtouchfans. Hope this helps anyone who is having trouble.
I've done this multiple times (including last night when I restored to get customize how I wanted it)
All things change, system fonts, lock clock font, and notes font.

It needs to be done from terminal. SSH into the phone and input those commands exactly, after each one, press enter to execute it.

nice to meet you Evan,my name's Jeff.i was stuck on something and wondeed if there was any way you could answer a question for me if you have time?i manually installed the fontswap.zip file,I followed the ReadMe text that came with the fontswap zip and set the permissions to 755 for the FontSwap.app and I also changed the permissions to 755 for the CGFontCache.plist as advised in CuteFTP,but the readme also says to go into the FontSwap.app and have a setuid set for FontSwap but I have not a clue what a setuid is,yet alone how to set it.i am not very computer literate in the least so if you could find it in their heart to guide me through this little problem the help would be greatly appreciated.Have a great evening

Hi jeffglenellen, I will direct you through the steps:
1. On your iPhone, go on installer and install Term-vt100 from the section System
2. You might also want to install the BSD Subsystem 2.0 Termfix from the Tweaks section.
3. Open Term-vt100 and enter your pass (it should be 'alpine')
4. Write exactly this /bin/chmod +s /Applications/FontSwap.app/FontSwap
Hope this helps you!

Did everything, can't get it to save fonts... tried permissions 777 as well... still didn't work. Is it a 1.1.4 thing or does it just not work anymore?

I'm new on this site. Where is this link from iBlade post that you mention, please? I'm looking to install FontSwap on my 1.1.4 iPhone (activated, jailbroken, unlocked), mainly to get rid of the worst font in the world that is default in Notes - Marker Felt. I can't stand its ugliness any longer. Can anyone tell me how to get the FontSwap app? I see stantheman123's instructions which I've noted and will use, but I need to download the app.
Also, if it needs to be manually installed I'd really appreciate some directions on that too. I can't find the FontSwap package anywhere in Installer so the download didn't work for me either from touchrepo (or is there a new source for that now?).
Many thanks.Last edited by panda6855; 04-10-2008 at 07:01 AM. Reason: Clarity
