so i found out why my quickreply would not work, mcleaner and irealsms clash bc of the new sms hook
uninstalled mcleaner and i have quickreply
then i wanted to keep mysms as my default sms app and use quickreply
so i set both up as default but on mysms checked disable default sms app and now when i hit "open" on quickreply, it opens mysms and not irealsms
!
best of both worlds, since irealsms isnt compatible with winterboard

Has anyone figured out how to fix the negative messages bubble that appears on the apple stock sms app after using iRealSMS as the default sms app?
Again, i'd definitely go back to iReal, but in case a firmware update breaks it and i have to go back to the stock app, i'd still like to have all my texts that i had with iReal...

can any of you iReal users tell me if the speed of the app has improved at all?
i had iRealSMS 2.0.2 and just couldn't deal with how choppy the scrolling was in conversation mode and the overal speed of the app
hows the new version? is the scrolling in conversation mode still choppy? what about that long delay after you send the text message for it to appear in the conversation thread?
or the lagness involved when switching from portrait to landscape?

no i didnt get one on mysms version 0.9.5 and it bugged me a bit but now on version 0.9.6 beta, i do get a badge and even if i reply it still shows as unread which is even more bothersome...
BUT since i usually get messages while my screen is locked, it works out better bc now since its not automarked as read, intelliscreen sees it and once i quickview it, its marked as read...
confusing huh?
mysms devs are supposed to be working on a new version to have a quickreply feature too, they said it'll be about two weeks till this new versionLast edited by colmiak; 12-07-2008 at 12:40 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Two questions/problems since I got iRealSMS 2.0.6:
1. Even when I have "no sound" selected in the Settings/Preferences iRealCauses the "Tri-Tone" sound on Message Received. It will also override other sounds and always play "Tri-Tone". The only way to have it silent is to put the iPhone in silent mode and turn off vibration (which I definitely do not want). I have confirmed this is iReal, installed mySMS trial, and even tried just turning it off as default SMS app. In both instances, preferences were respected. As soon as I turn on iReal as default, sound always plays.
2. I'm using Status Notifier with iReal. It works VERY well, only one small issue. The notification doesn't go away for a new message until you exit iReal. So if I lock my phone after reading and replying to a message without going to the homescreen first, then it continues to say I have a new SMS. Confirmed this as well, because the icon badge doesn't update until you go back to the home screen. I actually see the number go away once I hit Home after a second or so.
Thanks for help in advance.

iRealSMS - your REAL native landscape SMS app on the iPhone
PwnTunes - Sync, Save, Share...
PhotoAlbums+ - Take Control of your Camera Roll
More new and exciting apps to come!

yep, update for irealsms was 6.50 for me plus the original 7.50 i payed, ended up paying 14, more than then what just irealsms2 is worth...i dont like irealsms devs and their app is the only one i've come across that isnt compatible with winterboard
still, they did something right with quick reply, i'll give them that
but im sure mysms will come up with their own version of quick reply and most likely improve upon it, all the while not trying to take all the money they can from you
mysms ftw

hey! i am starting to like the irealsms app now...i just got it today. But does anyone else find those big buttons annoying? I remember while looking at the first hits on the update the screenshots had smaller buttons for the quick reply. I wonder how they did that cuz it looks weird with quickreply literally hogging your full screen. Just something I sorta find LITTLE BIT annoying :P
