no updates of any of the apps I installed in last 24
Is the rapid pace of development slowing?
No new apps either.
That is to say in the last 24 hours there have been no updates to installer, either apollo or mobilechat, terminal, dock, finder, mobile ,etc..

Looks like a little slowdown is occurring, or the devs' wives/girlfriends finally got pissed enough to lock them out of their houses.

Yes. Im sure you are aware of what apple's done. Many people on this forum, which make up the majority of the devolopers for the iphone, find it offensive as to what Steve Jobs did. every body is in a state of shock, Im sure a ton of devolopers are finding it difficult to devolope because w/ the new Ipod touch coming out they feel like there apps will go to waist. Give it some time, people are happy about the $100 cash back deal going on. Devolpment will pick up again.

thats nuts
iPod touch is cool, and will probably run all same apps.
And I can't believed taht developers working on a cool device would be babyish because he lowered the price.
I was not complaining, just commenting. It makes total sense there is a slow down but to blame it on people making it dramatic that there is now ipodtouch and a $200 price cut is pure speculation, and seems very immature to me if that really was the reason anyone slowed development. As opposed to now that excitement has died a little they have other real priorities in their lives (such as families or their paying gigs)

Yah, they all have lives too. No big deal, more and more people are picking up their developer gloves and working on iPhone development.

you can't complain about free stuff, im sure of it...I saw it written down somewhere.... j/k
It does seem odd after being spoiled with daily updates, its like crack to check the installer.app for changes. But I can see how the latest price change would make them stop or slow down. I wanted to ship it back to them but unfortunately its still my phone, and the only one at thatLast edited by eg6motion; 09-06-2007 at 04:52 PM.

we need a 12 step program or something for app addicts...I'm just glad I'm not the only one that feels depressed by the lack of app updates today...

I am constantly checking Installer . . . more than anything else I do on my phone :P hahaha which means that the developers are really the ones making the iPhone a great product. Apple only provided the hardware . . . it's the great software that makes it the 'best' phone on the market.
thanks to everybody helping on advancing development for the phone

What with the recent upsets with Installer.app, I'm betting this was all politics.
