i jailbroke my phone using black rain andd i have cydia....can i get the installer having that or do i have to re do the whole thing?

I have dowloaded the files and placed them in the root folder of my iphone 3g. I am using iphone browser on windows xp to transfer my files. Before i put the files in, iphone browser showed that iphone 3g is connected and not jailbroken (even though it is). Once the files were placed in the root folder, iphone browser then says iphone 3g connected and jailbroken. But when i open cydia all my packages are still lost and get many errors. was putting these files on my iphone supposed to install cydia? i restarted after file transfer and cydia still does not work. can someone pls help!!

k dude one suggestion dont use this. this is outdated and doesnt work. to fix it rerun blackra1n and then reinstall cydia.
and then install afc2add cause that will make usb browser stop sayin ur not jailbroekn even though ui are

I have rerun blain rain several times and cydia still has nothing in it. Where do I get afc2add?

I'm upto this stage in the game. Cydia will not start but yes... I do have iFile. What do I do???

Ok....after much research and patience I have fixed my cydia without restoring. Here's what I did:

I used redsn0w 0.8 and rejaikbroke since blackra1n wasn't working. Here's the odd part though. Redsn0w would not recognize my current ipsw. So out of sheer experiment I placed the 3.1.2 ipsw in there and it recognized it (i am running 3.1). I began the process and it went through with no problems. It rebootes and I opened cydia. It still had nothing in it. Now, I hen used iphonebrowse (which by the way does work very well) and went in and deleted the files in the list folder like what was advised earlier. I then rebooted and opened cydia. Still nothing in ther. But then I went into the changes tab and hit refresh and it downloaded all my original content. Cydia now worksbgreat! The problem was that cydia had lost all the files necessary to run. I just needed a rejailbreak to get the files back (no matter what firmware was used). Thanks to all for the information that was used to solve my problems (a lil brains and guts on my part didn't hurt either.

I have a question: If I have my SHSH file on Saurik's server but restored my bricked iPhone (but damn iTunes put 3.1.3 on it) can I somehow gets the files stored on saurik's server to restore back to 3.1.2? And how do I get Cydia back onto my iPhone? Thanks people!
