I might be retarded but i don't understand S$$T of insaller of cydia whatever that may be, but i need some cool themes on my iphone.

But still how do u downloa cydia from this
It just says Safari Cannot Download This File . Please help do u have to do it on ur comp.?

Cydia is installed when you jailbreak your iPhone with a pwnage program.

I already jailbreak my iPhone with 3.0 and got Cydia installed on it. THe problem is CYdia stopped working. It was working but now it keeps crashing. It loads and says downloading packages and then exits out. Can I winSCP the files from the zip file or is there a way to reinstall cydia without jailbreaking again?

prblem still not solved, u have given link to download cycia to pc, then wat next, how can it b installed or transferred to iphone? there is no way to install it on iphone. urgent help needed

Cydia is now the standard installing application put onto a jailbroken iPhone when you jailbreak 2.x or 3.x. These instructions were for adding a very old version of Cydia back when Installer was the more popular version and you would download Cydia to your computer and add it to your already jailbroken iPhone. If you want Cydia now, just jailbreak your iPhone...

You can install cydia via the .deb file off of apt.saurik.com. You need to be able to ssh into your phone or use mobile terminal and type "dpkg -i {deb file}"

p.s= i used to have cydia but then i updated my iphone from the itunes n cydia n all my apps dissapeared!

that would mean you need to rejailbreak using redsn0w

Anyone able to help? Someone helped me to jailbreak my phone. And I began downloading apps from icy and cydia. When I downloaded springboard and my iPhone went into safe mode. To get my phone back to normal mode I had to reboot it several times. When it was finally back to nOrmal mode, all the apps were gone. Including icy and cydia. I'Ve tried downloading cydia manually but I can't open any of the websites. Please help(!!!).

^^ I would also suggest you only install Cydia as there is a conflict with installing both.

Hi guys, hope someone can help me here....

This is the problem. When i try to open cydia, i keep getting a tonne of error messages (this has never happened before) Is this a problem with cydia or is it just me? These are the error messages:

"Error: Clean Archives" Problems with mergelist/var/lib/apt/lists/apple.news.fr_repo_._packages The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

"Error: database, encountered a section with no package: Header".

plus when i go to sections, there is just one option that says "All packages" and there is nothing in it when i open it...?

I have tried refreshing within changes but to no avail....

I still get the "downloading release" and "downloading packages" but then it just says Error: cahce failure

So my dilema is, do i delete cydia from my iphone and reinstall or what?

does anyon know WTF is going on? i dont want to have to re JB my phone with all the recent problems going on (even though i only have the 3G model) i just dont want to be left without a JB (i would be lost without it now)

It seems to be quite impossible to unlock, jailbreak or anything else on my newly purchased Iphone 3gs ver. 3.1 (7c144)
I've tried for 2 days now.
There are 100-some pages and forums with as many well-meaning advice and deed.
A (virgin-) forest of links and other references, where it certainly is feasible.
From Unlockiphone.com (about 20, - £) over Redsn0w to Purpelra1n with a slip of Cydia.
People who have done it, are queuing up to tell about this and that, but not precisely how, at most a link to a page that can not be downloaded, opened, or is nonexistent

Nothing works at all !

This pretty little device goes back to the dealer and then I wait for the new Sony Ericson
