Looks like SIAX has iTalk as a competitor now. I am still using SIAX and still loving it. Tried iTalk briefly but they are both essentially the same - nothing in iTalk that SIAX doesn't have.

iTalk have some nice features:
1. It rings loud and vibrate for incoming calls (Siax only vibrate)
2. It have speaker phone.
3. It is more stable
BTW i think this app is from the same developers of Siax, is like an upgrade for Siax but without IAX support and of course is not a free upgrade for Siax PRO users. If you look very close iTalk you will see a lot of similarities from Siax, for example the "in call" options buttons, the input license gui, the about page format.

Another nice feature is the load time, SIAX takes about 12 seconds to load (and sometimes just crash) and iTalk takes about 3 seconds to load!
I really like more the SIAX interface but i would like more stability, iTalk interface is ugly, even the icon, but is more stable.
Maybe someone can mod the graphics for iTalk to look better.

Tried iTalk and it died while being backgrounded. I never had this dying issue with SIAX. Try background iTalk before you go to bed, next morning, open iTalk and you see that it actually still connected. Try make a call out and also try call in. Nada...died. They should fix that soon else...the ringer and speakerphone is quite a nice feature.

I bought the pro ver. Nice job. Two flaws: cannot connect bluetooth and donot have skype protocal.. I think the latter is not so important as the first one. I really love to see the next version with bluetooth supported.

Vonage
Anyone have any luck with Vonage settings. I tried the method mentioned earlier in this thread without luck. BTW, I'm not using the softphone Vonage. Thanks in advance.

You need to sign up
In order to use Vonage, you need to sign up for the Softphone plan, otherwise the server wont take your connection. I think its like $5 a month.

The instructions earlier in this thread worked (and still work) for me. No need for softphone. I only have a standard Vonage account. Outgoing calls appears in the Vonage call log and everything.

After registering my account against my voip provider (magicjack), I'm unable to make or receive calls. The error im getting is pjsua_app.c 0 is DISCONNECTED [reason=400 (Bad Request)]. I'm clueless and google doesnt turn anything up related to this. Please help anyone, any help would be greatly apreciated.
FYI...I can make and receive calls with iTalk when i put all my credentials in that program. In other words, I know my credentials work correctly.

UK Vonnage Settings
I have been through the kind posts and obtained the SIP account detials to get SIAX to work on vonage accounts.
Howver I cannot get this to work on the UK account - It connects but reverts with an automated US voice saying it is not available.
Has anyone had any success with UK vonage.
Importantly I do not have the softphone option in my package with vonnage only standard, however previous posters have got this to work.
Any tips on UK vonnage settings on Siax very welcome .
Tks

Dear benpals,
We will launch a new build in the next few days, with a lot of
new features.
It should work with Vonage.
Did you try the settings like posted in this forum?
Cheers
Skiller
