Yesterday I bought Siax.
First I had trouble with the license key. After typing in I not found the reason to fill in my sip account user datas.
After emailing with [email protected] Michael call me and we found the problem: that was me. I only was to stupid to read the manual
.
Now I only can say: this tool is great ! Also the support - Michael takes the time to find and fix every problem.
Thanks !

Hello, I am a new Siax user. I was not aware that there was a trial period, and that after 7 days you had to purchase Siax. That's fine with me, its an excellent program and certainly worth the $10 for the Pro version.
Question: How long does the license key last? Forever?
Important Question: I'm running 2.1 FW, from Siax version 1.06, and I cannot get the program to boot. When I select Siax, it shows the Siax main boot screen, then the screen goes dim for a moment, then bright again, and crashed back to my home screen. So even if I were to buy Siax, there would be no way to insert my license key. Any idea what might be causing this? Thanks!

When i switch off wifi and get back to 3G, Siax doesn't load.
I saw the Saix logo and i go back to my homescreen.

Siax & inbound calls
I bought the pro-version and it works like a charm.
I am often abroad and I was wondering if I could handle any incoming calls (only voip or also celluar?) with siax too?
Is it necessary to make siax running on the background with insomnia or backgronder for that?

siax supports incoming calls for sip/iax2 only (at least for now... read previous posts in this thread) and yes, if u want it to run in the background, u have to use backgrounder. works well for me, except I can never hear the incoming calls

incoming call problems
I've had a few problems with this...
If I use backgrounder, the proximity detect (turns the screen off when close to something) stops working - and then the phone gets quite warm if you're on a long call. Also, one could conceivably terminate the call with their chin.
If the phone is locked/ screen is off due to proximity detector, when a call comes in I get no incoming volume (not a configuration issue - incoming calls work at other times).
Has anyone else noticed these problems?
I guess they could be fw2.2 specific.

I can't get my sip account to stay on. I switch it to "on", go to another screen and then go back to the accounts screen and it's "off" again. I switch 'sip account' to "on" in the settings screen, which seems to stick, but not the one in the accounts screen.
Tried creating several different sip accounts in siax. Just can't get it to stay "on".
I'm gutted. This could have been SOO good for my work.Last edited by futeki; 12-12-2008 at 06:27 PM.

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but there seems to be an echo on the other person's line. Example: If I call my friend Joe, then Joe hears a very delayed echo whenever he speaks (and only when he speaks). We've experimented and found out that the microphone on the iphone is extremely sensitive. In fact, there is a constant background "buzz" on the line whenever the microphone is active. We deduced that when Joe speaks, his voice comes through my earpiece, and the mic (as sensitive as it is) actually picks up Joe's voice and relays it back to him as an echo.
I guess the internal echo-cancelling software on cell-phones don't work with Siax. But that's okay, there seems to be an easy fix: headphones, or a separate microphone! Either one would eliminate the problem.
Which leads me to another question: Would Siax work with bluetooth?

I'm getting the echo problem on the caller side as well. I'm using the 1st gen iPhone over Wifi right now. I switched to using headphones and I believe the echo problem is resolved.
My voip provider is vbuzzer. It works fine, but there is about a 1 second delay which is much better than Fring which was about 3-4 seconds. It's not 100% but it sort of works.

Yeah the echo is almost certainly from a too sensitive mic.
I'll ask again: Does anyone know if Siax will work with Bluetooth??

What is the band usage of a Siax phonecall?
