OrbLive - Live TV on your iPhone.
OrbLive the long awaited app for streaming videos and other media is now on the AppStore after 2 months of waiting for aproval. OrbLive allows you to stream pictures audio and live TV from your iPhone using a TV tuner. It also allows straming from a webcam.
The bad news is that it does not allow video streaming while using 3G. You can only do it when your on wi-fi which pretty much destroys the purpose of the app.
Good news is that fortunately we have the jailbreaking option. Just download voipover3g from cydia and you can allow Orb to stream videos on 3G! Live TV anywhere!

I can honestly say this app works a TON better than anything else jailbroken or plain.. The connection is fast, even on 3g and EDGE. Gotta have a compatible tv card and such for tv streaming but for video streaming, you can't beat it. Go get this!

Yes ! this is really good news, about time. I gave up waiting weeks ago and was happy to come across this thread.
Why cant we fast forward when playing back a tv recording? I think I remember reading in was a limitation with either microsoft or apple iphone os (I forgot which)

I've been playing around with this, but I have been having a hard time finding any decent INternet TV stations. My brother had this on his AT&T Tilt which runs Windows Mobile and I remember him playing all kinds of different channels. He said he doesn't remember where he found them.

well first off your computer has to have a tv tuner....also your computer has to be configured to run cable b4 u setup orb....then you just go to orb.com and download the software and it runs the configuration wizard. once u are signed up and orb is running on your comp just d/l orb to your iphone and click on the live tv section...it should bring up the same channels running on your set top box...choose and enjoy...well at least thats how smooth it was for me

ALSO
make sure that firewall is disabled!
I was having a connection problem with Orb, when I realized that NOD32 had its own firewall. Now it works fine.
