Well, here goes a dumb question... Can the apps be stored on your phone or do you have to be connected to the internet to use them? I would imagine they can be just kept/downloaded to your phone, and in that case, is that what the Installer App does?

there two kinds of apps for the iPhone, generally speaking. there are the web apps, which are really just webpages you go to through safari. then there are the "native" apps, which have icons right on your phone and actually run on them and are kept in the /Applications folder. this list of apps are of the "native" kind, and since they run right off your phone, no internet necessary. these are the ones that Installer.app puts on your phone, though to install them you must be connected to wi-fi to download them, after they are installed by Installer you don't need internet to run them.

Do all the native apps in the list work with the new firmware 1.1.2 and 4.6BL?
Is there a new list for apps for 1.1.2?
