Default Mobile Terminal vt100
This is one of the first apps created for the iPhone, and is a Terminal emulator. Mobile Terminal supports vt100, gestures, and color.

Mobile Terminal vt100 is available via their site, iBrickr/Breezy, and Installer.

I think the last "stable" version is on there too.. it might be as old as like v85. But i think its not vt100? Can someone give me a really simple explanation of what vt100 means?

The VT100 was a video terminal made by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) which became the de facto standard used by terminal emulators. It was introduced in August 1978, following its predecessor, the VT52, and communicated with its host system over serial lines using the ASCII character set and control sequences (a.k.a. escape sequences) standardized by ANSI. In fact, the VT100 was the first terminal to implement a subset of the standard proposed by ANSI in X3.64. ...

Well VT runs the top command where Terminal either wouldnt or has some kind of conflict with Summerboard. Looks like I'm keeping both on my Phone.

Can VT do more things than Terminal, or visa versa?

my Vt100 or or terminal app crashes now, Is this a summerboard related problem? I can't really name names here what app I have added since I'm not sure which recent app is causing it.

umm.. I have SummerBoard 1.21 running, and Term-vt100 (latest ver. off installer) runs fine.. Where is it crashing? Right after it loads, or after a command?

13. #12
I am having the same issue with term vt100. When it loads and I go to type more than 3 characters or hit return on the keyboard, the program will close. I am running the latest summerboard. But not sure what is causing this to crash. It was working fine the other day.

I'm getting this problem too.

For me, I could type three characters then it would go to the next line. Now it just crashes on load. I have to hold down the power/hold key combo and reset the phone.

Webshell does the same thing so I don't think it's terminal related, it's some setting on the phone or in the bins that have changed.

I can putty into the phone thought, and that works just fine.

its working fine... it crashed once on me, but that was after messing around for a while.. I don't remember exactly what caused it, but i think it was just a bug... right after loaded it back up and its fine, I can't even replicate the crash.

If I putty into the phone, I can log in but if I type in a few characters, the putty session with close. This is the same with the terminal app.
