Agreed! it is totaloly awesome. the apt-get ability allows for remote installation or removal programs using SSH, without touching the unit!I just set insomnia to on, and leave it off.

Thinking mabe of using iphone as mini web servers ,loil

I'm having a cydia problem. It launches from the springboard and then it just instantly goes back to the springboard.
I read try typing apt-get update and it should fix it and I tried and got this.
Code:
iTouch:~ root# apt-get update

Get:1 http://iphone.sleepers.net stable Release.gpg

Reading package lists... Done
W: GPG error: http://iphone.sleepers.net stable Release: The following signatures were invalid: NODATA 2
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
Any clue what I could do?

hmm, try chmod the cydia.app director in applications to 777

That should fix cydia from resetting back to springboard mabe.

if the chmod wont help, you may try:

apt-get uninstall cydia
apt-get clean
apt-get update
apt-get install cydia

in that order.

pd: the first one might be remove instead of uninstall :P

me and dale1v
agree on the idea that
cydia.
pwns
installer.
PERIOD

but in the future ... if installer becomes like the appstore (but free with no charge in buying new apps.)
then i might switch back to installer..

I have an iphone 8GB with 1.1.4. intalled Cydia and when I try to update, install or uninstall anything, I get this error:
"Cydia subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2"

I have seen couple of ppl on this post having the same issue but have not seen anyone address the issue & how to fix it.

If I install anything using installer, it works great. Apps that required BSD also install without problem using the installer (Cydia & fake BSD are installed). The only issue is that I am not able to install anything from Cydia; I keep getting the error msg.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.
