Just to be sure:
To uninstall Cydia, the command is: apt-get remove cydia
Right?
And that removes it completely?

it removes the the icon and the GUI app, you still keep all the rest, and apt-get commands remain usable

Is there a way to remove everything Cydia installed completely?
I notice instead of "uninstall" on Installer.app, there's only "Reinstall" as an option.

after the last cydia/apt (i dont know which one caused it) i get "Cydia subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2" after every install.
i tried removing and intalling again cydia without results... any one else with similar problems ? (i wont remove apt cause i think that would bust everything :P )

Any easy way to add sources in Cydia without using a PC?
Thanks in advanced.

it seems that apps install anyway, so its not a big problem (it seems, i cant be sure), and the new verison of cydia rocks BIG time, it gets updates without bothering you, and it can open more info pages INSIDE cydia finally

this started happening to me when i updated to the newest version of cydia. i didn't think anything of it (since stuff seemed to install anyway).
but....now i just tried to update moleskine and it totally jacked that up...moleskine crashes now...after i tried updating through cydia. kinda pisses me off.
any cydia developers out there?"Beware the voice without a face."

I have the same problem, i tried installing Moleskine from command line and i get the same error but with little more info:
Unpacking com.databinge.moleskine (from .../com.databinge.moleskine 0.37b4 darwin-arm.deb)
.../preinst: line 6: syntax error near unexpected token `fi'
...
dpkg: error processing var/cache/apt/archives/com.databinge.moleskine 0.37b4 darwin-arm.deb (--unpack):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2
this happens only with some of the packages like Moleskine or PuzzleManiak (other apps install without errors)...it seems like there's an error in the install script

I love this package. The fact that everything is organized and easier to use & look through just makes it all the better.

I have a similar problem, except NOTHING installs or uninstalls properly with cydia now.
I`d like to have the old installer back since I don`t think that anyone seems to know how to fix these issues let alone care to fix them. So - does anybody have a clue how to remove cydia?

having cydia doesnt remove installer, why do you say that you want it back ?
pd: you need to restore to remove cydia :P
