I have never used JohnTool, so I can't tell you if it is like it. But what I can tell you is that you can toggle Insomnia on and off from SpringBoard and it will not change any of your power management settings as far as I know. It is simply a background process that prevents idle sleep.

i have 1.1.3 and it just goes back to the springboard after I start the app.

Oh, I just fixed it. Just need to chmod 755 on the isomnia file.

doesnt work for me.. not sure what "chmod 755" is.. my thing was on 0755 already ( if thats what it was referring to).. and no luck!.. still loads then goes back to homescreen on 1.1.1.

...it worked.. reloaded the app.. and restarted phone..
