11-21-2008, 04:38 PM #66iRealSMS PWNS!! I really like the new 2.0 version. It's awesome and the fact that it's now easy to modify the way it looks using winterboard it's absolutely the BEST third party sms application hands down in my book!
Where did you here you can mod this app with winterboard i have been looking and i have not seen anything

This doesn't work in 2.2
Status:
Fresh RESTORE of 2.2, QuickPwned
iRealSMS the FIRST non-system app installed.
activated fine, receives sms fine and displays notifications or not(respectively, the point is the notification hook works as advertized)
However, when you send an sms it sends it and then crashes out. But it does get sent...
Ideas?

I already notified the developer last night.

I anticipated many apps not working with 2.2 that's why I am waiting to update this time. I learned my lesson going from 2.0 to 2.1.

Ideas = Wait for update.
Weirdly my registration with iRealSMS stayed even after I Restored to Pwnage 2.2 after 2.1..
Maybe because I used the "No 'paranoid' Data Wipe" option ?

Just got an email from the Dev. Expect an update within a couple hours if it's not out already. Just waiting for the repo to update.

Does everyone get 2 popup alerts when an SMS comes through? Any way to make it just a single alert?

Orioles,
You forget that the dev promised free upgrades to the standard edition. He said there would be a pricier professional edition, but I was happy with the standard edition features, so I bought it.
Now that he's worked out the bugs, he's charging again and changed his website to remove any mention of professional edition. That's called a bait-and-switch. His answer is to use his buggy 1.x version.
Boycott this app. And if you don't, don't be surprised when you pay again for the next upgrade.

MySMS = The way to go.
Many updates, and they're free. Plus, the dev is a member here.wwjd

Agree. Unfortunately I already threw my money away on iRealSMS 1.x. I was also one of the 100 beta testers and provided feedback on every update he sent out. That shows iRealSMS's respect to the community.
Not to mention, I only had 1.x for 2 months!Last edited by evilhomer21; 11-26-2008 at 03:54 PM. Reason: Added additional point
