looking great. might be something i'd look into using. please make it so you can select what shows up instead of a preset group of things. Also, does it really exit the currently running app or simply background it if it's a backgroundable app (like ipod). I'd hate to have my music stop playing because I used this to open an app.

I'm wondering how nicely this will play with Intelliscreen.
Will you be able to double tap from the homescreen or just springboard?"Thanks" button. Learn it. Use it. Love it.

The blog mentions being able to do this from anywhere in the phone.
sourceDouble tap the Home button at any time, and the status bar extends, giving you quick access to your favorite Apps, your most recent SMS messages and calendar events, sleeker iPod controls, and a place to jot down notes.
Seems to be kind of like how the app 'Dock' works (how it stays minimized until you perform a gesture of some sort)
I really, really, hope that this app becomes stable enough for release.Last edited by Imahottguy; 10-08-2008 at 08:05 AM.
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream!

Crashspeeder, Yes, it will background the iPod app
Imahottguy, it works exactly like the dock app! Thank you! People need to realise that, loads of them don't understand what I'm talking about.
iPhonemadness, you can only use it from springboard, not lock screen.
netuser, I have no idea. I'm not sure I completely understand you.

I could really care less about the ipod controls, the sticky notes, and the SMS messages... but... I would really love if this popped out some bosspref type switches for autolock, for respring, to set the "Brightness" of your screen, to set the dimmer timeout from 1 min, 5 min, never, etc.
Basically, I don't need to launch apps, I don't need to take notes... and I don't need to see my SMS messages.. butttt
I would love the ability to launch a control panel type app from anything else running so I could control my brightness, and a few other key things.

To: Zurie,
And everybody else in the world who gets this wrong.
I could care less means you do care. The correct phrase is I couldn't care less.
I'm French. I can get it right. So can you.

noone speaks like a Geico caveman in America.
(I am zurie. i am french. i can speak. so can you.) <-- example.
When one usually states "I could care less", they usually mean "I could not care less". [e.g. "I could care less about linguistics."]
In order for one to "care less" about a subject, they must first care about it somewhat. Saying "I could care less about ... " does indeed imply, nay dictate, that there is some degree of care.
But we are more interested in the development of the program than the way we speak.. seriously

Guess what, Zurie;
You're wrong
"I could care less" is wrong
It is a common error.
English & French are my main languages. I've spoke English since I was a child, just like you

does this mean you will consider adding a brightness toggle and common user preference switches to the app?
