Yes I made some work on that, because you can capture the click from the javascript. Maybe in a future release

Reminder (vibration) is off by default.
You must edit /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.otyo.StatusNotifier.plist
to enable it. Change reminderInterval to non-zero (in seconds).
After saving plist file you must "killall SpringBoard".
GUI is under development to change those settings. Please be patient

How do I install the .deb file? I know it tells you how on the wiki. But when I run the command through terminal, I get some message about needing superuser privileges?

I like this update a lot better than the initial release that used the daemon. Is there anyway to have the reminder play a customizable sound instead of vibrating? Like a short beep or something? I don't always have my phone in my pocket and it would nice to be reminded if it is sitting on a desk or something.
Also, what is the enableRemoteHttp setting for?
Thanks for the nice program.Last edited by dieburnbot; 10-05-2008 at 06:38 PM.

enableRemoteHttp=yes
From a desktop internet browser you can have exactly the same as the lock screenicons.
1. Copy the whole Lock Status.theme folder into you desktop.
2. Edit LockBackground.html -> Change 127.0.0.1 to yoor iPhone's IP
and open LockBackground.html in IE
So actually you can check your iPhone Lock screen without touching it. I think it is kind a neat

Reminder duration value
I gave a look at the plist. I did not find a parameter to indicate how long the reminder will last. In my opinion it should not last forever .. user could set a time duration (i.e 30 mins or 1 or 2 hours) from the last event, in which the reminder (better if with sound too) should advise of a missing event. After that time it will stop. It will start reminding only in case e new event (missing call or sms) will occur.
Keep up the great job!

Ok,
I've added a numberOfReminders option, if it is 0 it will remind forever (until you have e.g. unreadMail), if it is not zero, you will get this many vibrations.
If a new message comes in the meantime, the counter goes back up to numberOfReminders, otherwise it goes down one every time it vibrates. When it is goes down to zero -> Reminer is off.
It will be in Cydia later this week!
But I will upload it to the google site tonight. (will be 0.2.7)
Updated 0.2.7! (only project site yet)
Added custom sound notification
Added reminder count (if it goes zero reminder stops)
Please give me feedbacks, so I can post it to Cydia later this week!Last edited by zolee; 10-06-2008 at 10:20 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
