Well the current version of the other program actually does show separate missed call and voicemail alerts. I even helped one of the guys that uses the “other” program with icons for it. So I tested it out to make sure it works.
Now I do think this program has more potential but I’d like to see voicemail added.1st gen iPhone custom pwn’d

Winterboard is not in my dependency list. I have no idea why Winterboard gets installed. I've asked the repo maintainer specifically not to add winterboard as a dependency.

Why wouldn't you use Winterboard? If it drains battery, it's certainly unnoticeable.

Winterboard causes noticeable battery drain? Both my wife and I have iphones, I have winterboard and she doesn't. I have not seen any noticeable drain on my battery compared to hers. Is there some information out there that proves this fact, or is it just hypothetical at the moment?

I'm suggesting it is hypothetical. I use it for EVERY change, and while having my UI heavily altered, I see absolutely no noticeable battery drain.

I know why WInterboard is getting installed.
The MMi administer changes (?!?!!?!?!) my control file and adds winterboard as a dependency to it. I specifically asked him not to do that.
So hopefully this winterboard issu will be solved if I ask them again !

I think we were initially responding to the comment that winterboard drains the battery. So my question was, if so, where is there proof or is it hypothetical. However, if a person says they do not want it as a matter of choice, I agree. If a program is not dependent on winterboard to run, then it should not be be tied to it.
But on a personal note, i think winterboard is one snappy little app. and I don't mind it being installed on my iphone at all...and that is a matter of my choice.

i though Winterboard is needed for the "Lock Status" function...

anyways, whats all this about Winterboard support and its battary life? why the fook is this an issue? i mean how much really does Winterboard drains the battery? i know i use the rotating background with like 350 different wallpapers, but $h!t looks cool... why the fook did you buy an iPhone if you don't want to show off!!! lol
this phone is missing soooo many feature that my 3 year old phone can do!!!
only kudos to the 3d party developers that we should be thankful!!!
iPhone's battary is really ***** anyways, and every charge it gets weaker and weaker. you can't replace it without breakin the seal or if you have less knowledge you gota get a prfessional to replace it which costs!
even if you have only things installed from factory! only way to save battery is turn off the WiFi/3G when you are not using an application that requires it. by default WiFi antena turns on even if you make a phone call!!!

Stop derailing this topic with battery drain issues, and how the iPhone is lacking needed software. A question was asked, and an answer was given. Flaming is not needed. There are several threads concerning this argument.

I don't like having the Ringer silencer icon on the status bar. How do I get it off?
For some reason I just noticed it today.
