Do you need to set permissions with this file...im gettting static and when the alarm sounds

Is anyone else getting the static? I find it sometimes happens with a bad conversion. The .caf file I posted was uncompressed. Here is a compressed u-law 2:1 version. I don't know if zipping/unzipping could cause the static, but MMi doesn't allow me to upload the unzipped .caf file. Hope this one works for you.

I'm not getting any static, but I usually use this website to convert files: Media Convert. I convert to .aiff and then rename the extension to .caf. Haven't had any issues.

Can anyone make a better looking silent icon?

Am having an issue with this app .

i use it only for notification , no reminders or sounds .

sometimes i use my slide to unlock sound , and the keyboard clicks , untill i reboot and the sound comes back.

someone reported this issue before me so i thought it would get fixed in .11 but it didnt.

Do you have IntelliScreen installed? Ive seen reports in other threads that claim intelliScreen to be the reason for the loss of sounds.

I still have the problem where it doesn't play the reminder sound when your phone is locked when you get an email (I'm using exchange push email). I set it to 30 seconds and it reminded me once right after my new-mail.caf notification and then it stopped reminding me. My phone has been sitting untouched for 5 minutes now and I've only had 1 reminder go off. As soon as I unlock the reminders continue. It works fine when it is set to 20 seconds or less. Not sure why. I'm not running anything like Intelliscreen just status notifier.

What is your count? Disabled (0)?

Is there another icon for this great app? Currently it uses the exact same icon as Settings and that confuses the hell outta me..

Zolee yeah my count is set to 0 and my interval was set to 30 seconds. It works fine at 20 seconds, the interval is the only setting I change.

Version 0.2.11 StatusNotifier on Inphone 3G FW 2.1

Interval 20 S or less Count 0 or 10 it work fine also in lock mode

Interval 30 S or more Count 0 or more works only in unlock mode, but not in lock mode

Other question, how can i use Calendar notify ? I have no Icon an no signal with calendar. It donīt work with sync with mobileme and with normal iphone calendar without syncserver (only itunes)

That's not it. He's talking about icons that you can tap. For instance if you have new mail, you can tap on the new mail icon that shows up and it will open up the mail app etc. Instead of unlocking and then tapping the mail icon.

I could reproduce your problem with 0.2.10, but it works like a charm on my iPhone with 0.2.11.
I will check I really uploaded the latest to the project site

Worst case you have to fedex your iphone to me

When I develop my code, my USB cable is always plugged in, and when the phone is locked, I get the reminders.

It seems when there is no USB cable (no charging), the phone goes to sleep mode. I was reading about this not too long ago.

Please check if you have a USB cable plugged in (charging) and the phone is unlocked!

Hehe I feel your frustration.

This is what I have found through my testing (Status Notifier v0.2.11):



WORKS:

Phone locked or unlocked, not plugged in or plugged in, interval set to 20 seconds or less.

Phone unlocked, not plugged in or plugged in, interval set to 30 seconds or more.

Phone locked, plugged in, interval set to 30 seconds or more.

DOESN'T WORK:

Phone locked, not plugged in, interval set to 30 seconds or more, reminder plays once immediately after new-mail.caf notification and then stops until unlocked.

I'm guessing the problem is that the phone does go to sleep when it isn't plugged in and somehow that messes up the timer your app uses or something. However that logic doesn't make any sense because if that was the case then it wouldn't work at 20 seconds either. I read somewhere the phone goes to sleep 30 seconds after it has been unplugged and locked.

Your rival app, Notifier, doesn't seem to have this problem. So, there probably is some kind of way around this.

I love status notifier so first i will tx devlpers


Still, i got a problem ...


My iPhone (v1) won't vibrate anymore.
Not when silenced, not when unsilenced
Doesn't change if I activate "reminders" or don't activate them (I wish I had SMS vibration reminders every 5 min, oh yes!)

I won't uninstall this app because it roxx, still, my phone won't vibrate anymore under any circonstances
