Damn...

I am using Status Notifier cos of the ability to work with other lockscreen widgets...

Else the other rocking app would be Notifier but does not have lockscreen widget support

I wish there's a work around for this. Does Notifier work with Swirly?

I did a search and didn't find anyone else making the following claim, so I'm asking for confirmation or help.

I just upgraded my 3G to 3.0 and have everything back installed (both App Store and Jailbroken apps). The only thing I've found that doesn't work is StatusNotifier.

Well notifications work, but the configuration app crashes every time I try to load it.

Does anyone know if this is a known problem, or unique to me?

Are you using 2.10 or 2.11? Cydia only has 2.10

I'm using .2.10 as I got it from Cydia.

I have now found other user posts also having the same problem.

Are you saying .2.11 works properly with 3.0?

i'm on OS3.0 using Status Notifier downloaded from Cydia and like you, the configuration app crashes upon opening, but the status bar icons works, however, I've noticed that only one icon will show at a time, so if you have unread emails and a missed call, only one of those icons will show

I'm using version 2.11 on OS 3.0, still crashes when open to settings, I seem to get multiple icons showing. However I had to ssh into this folder /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences and edit the com.otyo.StatusNotifier.plist file to turn on the various options (the option the settings page would have done)

yeah, i can edit it manually. works great, thanks

but i prefer Notifier as this Status Notifier doesn't sound when iPhone is in manual sleep mode

I think the developer may have literally DIED. I mean, how else can you go from actively developing a great app such as this to dropping off the face of the planet never to be heard from by anyone ever again? It would certainly be unfortunate, but I can think of no other possibility.

(this is when the developer is supposed to suddenly burst in yelling "I'M ALIVE!", thus proving me wrong)

On a more serious note, I think it's time everyone moved on to Notifier 3.0. It's missing a few things StatusNotifier had, but it also has some things that StatusNotifier does not; like a developer who still cares!

I wish Notifier supports widgets... Missed my lockscreen telling me the number of missed calls/smses i had from the other notifier app. But hey Spektro is a dedicated developer unlike some others and that's cool with me
