@vegasflyboy. Don't think so. Never seen that option. Frankly, doesn't matter to me. But to each his own.

Thanks...I would just like to be able to put the phone to silent mode at night and not have it buzzing all night on the night stand.

@vegasflyboy. Hmmm, good point. Maybe an option that senses the silent toggle and turns off vibs also. Just wondering if this would (or should) apply to all apps, not just this one. Regardless it's sure to make some happy and some not.

I would love to see an option where you can disable the notifications at given times that can be defined by the user.

This software fully respects your preferences wich means:
* If the ringer/silent switch is ON for ringer, it will use sound for notifications + vibration if your sound preferences says to vibrate when the ringer is ON, otherwise it will only use sound.
* If the ringer/silent switch is OFF for ringer, it will use the vibration notification only if your sound preferences says to vibrate when in silent mode.
It also respects the sound preferences for new voicemail an new mail, wich means if you have those switches set to OFF, it will never use sound notifications for those new events.

^^ Thanks. I was finally able to get it to do what I wanted by simply turning off the vibration in the sound settings. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

Sup mates
Notifier 1.5 shall be up on Cydia soon.
It introduces a scheduler, where you set the reminder up to work only between a time interval.
Now you can set the scheduler to not remind you during your sleep time.
The thing is pretty self explanatory

Does the new scheduler in the reminder app just turn off the reminders during the given interval or does in totally disable ALL notifications? It seems to do the latter for me.

Each type of notification has it's own scheduler, totally independent from each other.
Are you using the 1.5-1 version?
If not, please update to this current version.
* The work interval is exactly what it's label means. It sets the time gap where the software will remind you. *

spektro, I just tried Notifier, and it works great. I like the subtle reminder sound aswell.
I don't know if this has been requested already, but I'd really like to be able to set the amout of time Notifier is repeating the alerts. E.g. repeat every few minutes for two hours.
Also, repeating alerts for calendar events would be extremly usefull!

Great work Spektro!
But what about sounds used for reminder?
For those who want to use customized sounds?
Where we can find them to replace with ones of our choice.
Thanks.

I only need this for sms and missed calls.
Now I see for sms reminder sound is same as sms sound,my mistake was I tested only for calls when I installed that's why asked for custom sounds.
But still need info.
On sms is sound from incoming sms but for calls is just two short beeps and vibrate.
If I don't hear my phone ring, most probably don't hear two short beeps from reminder.
So I ask again what is sound for missed call reminder?
Thanks.
sound for phone calls reminder seems to be RingerChanged.caf but I change that file and still just two short beeps is sound from reminder.
Any info?Last edited by gabiz_ro; 11-06-2008 at 03:56 AM.

Hello,
@spektro
thank you for this great app!!

I've got a question. I am using the app BiteSMS, which is much better than the original of Apple. For example forwarding of received SMS, adding contacts to the SMS, in the last Beta also landscape writing of SMS.
But it doesn't work with notifier.
Is there any posibility to add compatibility with biteSMS? Maybe you have a lot to do but that would be so cool. Perhaps there is a possibility to make it real.
thank you for reading

This application already have compatibility with:
biteSMS, swirlyMMS and iRealSMS applications.
If it's not working on your device, it's probably because of any unknown reason your bitesms is no placing badges on the pink icon

Hi Spektro,
thank you for your answer.
I've just tried it again. Its still not working. BiteSMS is showing the badges on the right top of it's icon. When i am switching to the regular apple SMS app, as default app, the reminder doesn`t work correctly too. I've got the taskbar icons and vibration but no sound.
I unistalled ILOG, changed the default app back to BiteSMS and reinstalled Notifier. Now i have the tasbar icons back but no vibration and no sound which reminds me. With missed calls and Email it works great.
Any idea to solve this problem?

Finally I found sound file wich is played to remind missed calls.
Is /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/TinkX2.aif
Maybe other people need to change it too.
