I don't get a voicemail icon, how about anybody else?
I tested with a call and voicemail and I do get a missed call icon. I then went into the phone and clicked on missing calls and the missed call icon went away, but I had not listened to the voicemail yet.

If the voicemail is not showing is because probably the notification of new voicemail is not made by a badge on your devices. Are you using visual voicemail instead? I donīt have it on my phone, so i really donīt know how it shows on the device when the visual voicemail notification comes. I bet itīs done by a popup instead of a red circle (empty when does not have missed calls). Can you confirm this to me, or maybe a screenshot of the voicemail notification?

Yes I am using visual voicemail. The thing is that I usually get a call and if I don't pick it up it shows that I have a missed call and if there is a voicemail it shows on the badge that I have 2 missed.
Here are screenshots:
This is what the badge looks like when I have 1 missed call and 1 missed voicemail:

This is what it looks like inside of the phone app:

This is what happens when I view the missed call but still have a missed voicemail:

Also, can you please tell me what sound file you are using for the missed call reminder? I would like to replace it with a different sound. Its the two sharp beeps, is there anyway you can use a different sound for the missed mail too so that we can customize the sounds instead of having to change our default notifications? I would like it to play my default notification and then play my reminder sound. If its not too much trouble I think this would be a good addition. Status notifier lets you replace its sound file and I think that feature would be good in Notifier as well.
Thanks.Last edited by dieburnbot; 10-09-2008 at 03:56 PM.

BTW: standard voicemail and separate missed calls work here. T-Mobile, no visual voicemail.

It's called The Lonely Tree: ModMyi.com - Downloads: The Lonely Tree
The wallpaper is this thing I found on Cydia called Sun&Moon it changes the position of the sun and the moon based on what time of day it is. I'm not sure if I like it that much though. I think my customized time of day wallpaper might be better.
I don't understand what the difference is. When you get a voicemail do your badges look like what the visual voicemail look like in the pictures I posted? I would sacrifice the notifier though for visual voicemail, I don't think I can live without visual voicemail anymore. heheLast edited by dieburnbot; 10-09-2008 at 04:10 PM.

Add "silent" notifier?
Hi - great app, thank you!
Would love for you to add a symbol (the "other" program uses a bell with a slash through it) which notifies you when the ringer state is for silent mode. Thanks!

Dieburnbot, thank you for the screenshots.
For people who is using visual voicemail and donīt get the notification neither the reminder, i have a fix for this on the following link. But since i donīt use visual VMīs, i did not test. So any feedback on this file will be much appreciated.
Fix for Visual VMīs
All that is needed is to SSH into the phone and go to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ and replace the file notifier.dylib, setting itīs permission to 0755 if itīs not already like this. Then, reboot the device.

Yes, this is the default notification for voicemail that i do have the same on mine. When you have a VM and no missed calls, itīs an empty badge. When you do have missed calls and also the VM, there is a + at the end.
It works with no problem with the current version. The above fix is for another case
EDIT: Just to inform, iīll be working on a different GUI that will permit scheduling the application to not remind you when you donīt want (at nights) and other things like also disable icons individually.Last edited by spektro; 10-10-2008 at 08:49 AM.

Actually, now that I've played around with it to test it out, I think something may be a bit off.
Here's the scenario:
We'll call the (2) Call icons the 'X' and the 'Blue' for ease of talking.
I called my cell from my office and rejected the call on my phone. Right away the 'X' came up on the statusbar. I left myself a test VM and the 'Blue' came up at the top.
When I checked the Recent call log, but left the VM, the 'Blue' went away leaving the 'X' still present.
As a second test, I repeated the above, but listened to the VM first, and again, the 'Blue' cleared first, leaving the 'X' with the missed call.
It seems from the above that it's a push pop type of operation, the 'X' gets pushed on the stack first, then the 'Blue'. Naturally, the 'Blue' has to pop off the stack first in order for the 'X' to also pop off.
Is there a way to differentiate which one is associated with which?

On your example, the X is for calls and only calls. The Blue is for VM,s only. So the correct behavior would be clear the X when you check the history and exit the app, without messing with the Blue. The Blue must clear when you listen to the VM box and must not touch the X and both shall disapear when you check them all and exit the app.
From what i understood of this, your first test is the one who had negative results on how it should really work.Last edited by spektro; 10-10-2008 at 10:57 AM.

Notifier is working very well since 1.3-1 release 2 days ago.
There is one little thing, not sure where it belongs (phone or Notifier).
I respring (or reboot), VoiceMail reminder set to OFF, have a pending voicemail .... I will get exactly ONE alert at the end of boot/spring. No more, no less. It's like Notifier alerts 1st, then checks the preferences. It's not a big deal ------ and maybe it's not even Notifier (although the fast chirp sound is the same). In one way, the sound confirms Notifier is working.
