I have a serious problem with notifier, please help

My mobileme account worked fine before installing Notifier

However after I installed Notifier messages read on my Mac or 'in the cloud' are not marked read on my iPhone . (But message read on the iPhone are immediately marked read on my Mac or in the cloud)

The only way to mark them as read is opening the mail application on my iPhone, then it starts syncing and mark them as read.

Before installing Notifier everything worked just fine.

    Please helpthis is very annoying.

    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    Default Lost audible repeats

I thought this app was working fine, but I am not getting repeating audible repeats only when I get original message or missed call.

What do I need to do?

You have to set both Repeat Mode (how many times to alert you) and Time interval (the time interval between alerts)

    spektro,

Please consider adding filtered email as a feature of Notifier. That is, an option to enable repeating email alerts for specific senders only.

Thank you, and thanks again for such an invaluable app!

I am using the small lockscreen icons...is there any way to "Theme" them?
I have searched high and low and have not figured out a way to do this let alone figure out where they are stored.

    Thanks.

I just installed Spektro's Notifier via Rock (Iphone 3G 3.1.2JB). The installation completed without any problem, but in my lock screen no notifications are shown.

Do I have to reboot the Iphone? Or do I have to install other dependencies - e.g. I have not installed winterboard - do I need this? Or is there any configuration I have to do? Or should I install Notifier with Cydia instead of Rock?

Questions questions... maybe someone could give me a hint? Thanks in advance!

Well, I rebooted the phone and suddenly it works. Happy New Year!

Notifier is crashing to springboard when I try to open it.

Note that this is a 3Gs that I did have Notifier working on, using 3.1.2.

However, I've passed this phone onto another user on my AT&T account (meaning it has a different SIM in the phone, than it did when it was working). After transferring the SIM card of the other user to this iPhone, I did a restore (to 3.1.2). Then blackra1n, then install cydia, then Notifier.

When I try to open Notifier to do the setup of the preferences, Notifier crashes. I've tried respringing, rebooting, removing and rebooting, re-installing, etc. etc. It always crashes. Now....one thing that does work, is that Notifier is putting icons up on the status bar for missed calls, turning on/off the vibrate switch. But, I can't get to the prefs screen to set any of this up....

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Fix it by deleting this file and respringing:

    /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.iDevBrTeam.Reminder.plist

    Thanks spektro!

Worked like a charm. I figured it was a preference file, but didn't want to go deleting files without guidance.

    This functionality already exists.

I've already got TextNow (an Apple App store app) being monitored by Notifier. Works great. You just have to figure out the Bundle Identifier for the app you want to monitor, and then everything sets up as normal.

With Textnow, all I did was add TextNow's Bundle Identifier to the 'Manage SMS Support' area. I clicked on the '+' button in that screen, and added 'com.tinginteractive.usms' to the list.

Then, choose all the repeats/sounds as normal.

Why those guys put a name on an app and put something different on the bundle identifier of the same app?
This would make things so much easier

That's awesome! Is there anyway I can get a list of "bundle identifiers?" Or a place, via SSH, that I can find this out? Thanks in advance.

Where can I put additional sound files to make them available for Notifier? Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, found it! It is \var\mobile\Library\Reminder\Sounds

    @spektro,

first of all, this is wonderdul app, great job! do you have the document explaining how to configure this app. i have the calendar prefs set to ON, but i am not sure what it does. sometime i see the calendar icon on the status bar and other time i do not even though i have calendar events everyday.
also, would someone please explain how the 'repeat mode', 'work interval' & 'time interval' work. without the documentation, i am not clear about them.

    thank you very much!

Repeat Mode = how many times you will be reminded.
Work Interval = reminders work between these times
Time Interval = number of minutes between reminders

    Repeat Mode 10
    Work interval 09:00-23:00
    Time Interval 2

This way you will be reminded every 2 minutes, 10 times between 9am and 11pm

You will only get reminders for calendar events when you have set a reminder in your Calendar app.

    @wim66,

thank you very much for the clarifications. now i have a couple more questions.

-> (1) enable 'icon on lock screen', i tested it by calling myself and left a message. i get the '1 missed call' message and the phone icon on the lockscreen.
-> (2) enable 'the small icon', i get the smaller icon on the bottom of the lock screen.

-> (3) disable 'the small icon', i still see the smaller icon on the bottom, and the large phone icon is not there anymore. also, the '1 missed call' message is gone too.

also, where are the sound files located (glass, horn, bell...etc), i would like to modify them as use my own sound.

    is this a bug?

Don't know about the icons, I never use those.
You can add you own sounds in /var/mobile/Library/Reminder/Sounds
