Thanks for the feedback friend.
I've added the ringer state status bar icon and i'll be modifying the time interval setup to use a picker, instead of a slider.
Hope to bring it up soon.
If some friend would like to help by providing png's for ringer on and ringer off i'll be glad to use on this app.

I think that when the phone is in normal mode, there should be no icon, and when it is silent show a icon.

PD: Is there any possibility to change the sound of sms and mail reminders? Don't like to use the same sound that has a default.

Or use the same sound used for calls, also for mails and sms? That is, we always use the same sound for all.

Great news about new features. I think only a icon for silent mode is better. If itīs possible to change the sound in one other (special reminder sound) than is clear, is it a new SMS or Mail or .... or itīs a reminder. If each action has a special reminder sound, sorry but 8 sounds (original and reminder) is to much to decide. (for me )

Thank you ErMasLoko for the icons. I'll use them.

About the feature to change the sounds, it's a major modification on software, since it is currently designed to check all your preferences and use the same sounds.
It will take a little more time to implement, but it's not hard, just a lot of work to do.
I'm planning to release the next update only with bitesms correct support and the silent icon, besides the new way to setup the time interval other than the slider.
Then in a near future add a setup tab where you will be abled to setup your sounds.

I think it will be the 1.7 with biteSMS proper functionality + the time interval setup with picker and the silent status icon. I didn't sent it to BB because it's not finished thelast part to use the picker instead. I hope to finish it tonight

The problem with the sound and vibration not working properly when biteSMS is set to default SMS app is because biteSMS code removes the badge from default sms app AFTER set it's own badge. If they had removed the badge BEFORE setting their own badge, it would work. As a result, what were fired to remind you when the biteSMS badge was placed was being instantly killed by the badge removal of the default sms app.

About the donation:

Actually i do have a paid application called iBlacklist, wich is a call and sms filter application. Very usefull for some situations in life. But as you can see, i didn't insert any mention or popup or nag screen that mentions it on notifier and reminder app. I want to keep it clean.
But if you would like to help, i would suggest a fair deal, wich is to buy a license of iBlacklist, so you will have a full featured software too.

Hi lazer, thanks for your support words. Yes, currently it work with no problem when using mySMS. I don't know about iRealSMS, but it's on list of supported applications. The next release will work for sure with iRealSMS and biteSMS, since i've modified the code to deal with each application independently. It must be up today. It's finished and i'm packaging to send to BB right now.

Very nice to hear, a change on selecting time interval. Dont know if it is in the developer codex to do so, but have a look at Status Notifier. Very good solution for selecting interval with a slider.

Do you have some kind of a debug-routine?
Sound/vibration-reminder never worked on my 2G phone (Neither Notifier, nor StatusNotifier, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2) and i just dont know why bc i restore on every update and configure it as a new phone in itunes.
Icons are working like a charm, just the reminder doesnt work at all (apperantly just on my phone).

Is there any chance at all of making the SwirlyMMS icon different from the standard SMS one? I'd love to be able to see at a glance that if I have a speech bubble with a ! in it I have an SMS or if I have a blue M (for example) that I have a new MMS

That strange, now with Notifier 1.7, the reminder for biteSMS only vibrate, no sound

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still does not work. The rest, perfect.

I think I found a the problem. I do not have any theme for sounds. I was selected "electronic" tone.

I tested with all sound tones of iphone, and here are my results:

If I selected "electronic" for sms tone, when sms comes, sounds correctly, but in reminder only vibrates, no sound.

If I select "Bell", when sms comes sms sounds "bell", but in reminder sounds "electronic".

The rest of tones and sounds work perfectly.

I don't know if it will be only my problem, or is it something general.

great program....but any way you can set a different sound for each reminder?

that or at least set a different sound for the reminders in comparison to the original, new notification sound you have set for the iphone? so we can differentiate a new notice vs a reminder sound

i think you addressed this request earlier in this thread and that it's not difficult....just time consuming.

if that's the case, then i (and everyone else) will sit hear waiting patiently and appreciatively
