Backgrounder now in Cydia, what ya'll think?

I can recieve calls and also recieve IMs during a call...and when intelliscreen is running.......ITS DAYS LIKE THIS WHEN I JUST LOVE MY JAILBROKEN PHONE...BIG UP TO THE DEV ON THIS ONE....LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using edge or wifi?

Has anyone tested letting palringo sit for, idk 10-15 minutes and then see if you receive an IM? It disconnects for me after a good amount of time 910-15 MINUTES) and I still have to go in and reload the app for it to receive my messages

DUde, Edge cannot do voice and data at the same time. This will be no different. It doesn't make a difference if you are running this app or not. If you have Pandora of Simplify Media running on Edge, calls will go straight to voicemail.

The first time home button is held down it makes it "enabled" so when u leave and go back into the program, all you have to do is just tap the home button instead of holding down....holding it down will "disable"

Gave you a Thanks....but for some reason it wasn't coming up. So i went to the package big boss repo and reinstalled it then it came up.....Mmmm, never had to do that before. wierd

i recieve calls just fine with the background running, just got a call as we speak

oh i also can recieve calls on edge while background is running

Same here but with FlyCast, it will play in background for about 10mins then shut off. I haven't tried on any other app yet.

Looks like you can do more than one app, just tried it. Each app you open you have to "enable" in each app. Then the ones you want to close hold down home button to "disable" on that app.....

No reason to flame, I simply did not know that edge cannot do data and voice at the same time.

I wonder if there is anyway to kill or suspend the service running in the background to receive a call?

can we get a list of bundle identifiers so we can try the plist method. Would love to get quickgold back running, wasn't compatible, or it could have been intelliscreen who knows.

anyway would be good to get beejive, last.fm, pandora, podcaster, etc

Anyone know how to use the feature where you can assign programs to run in the background from the preference list.

you know what would be cool (to the developer) if yo made an icon like the WIFI where we can turn it off and on at our will and when you turn it on it turns off Intelliscreen when you turn on it turns on Intelliscreen

What service do you guys have?
If I get a call while on edge. while running ANY app.. The call takes over..
That is a regular standard for Wireless data.. Calls first -> data second..

Unless AT&T thinks otherwise..

And I did test it while running Beejive - then disabled it.
Then tried Palringo. - disabled it
And THEN tried FStream (live WMA streaming app) - all of them stopped working for the call to come through

By the way I am on rogers

So far works great but I did notice while I kept Beejive open for the past 2hrs it did drain some battery.

You could always do that, even without backgrounder.
