wow, this is a pretty awesome utility. With Beejive, I get a vibrate + ringer when the app is closed. If this doesn't affect my battery too much, it's definetly a must have until apple pushes the next firmware

Paired with Palringo and working perfectly. I knew I didn't have to get beejive for $15.99 and glad I didn't. What a waste that would have been!

I never thought this would be possible to make App Store apps still run in the background. Wow! This is fantastic. I hope it's safe and works well.

what types of messenger services are you all using. All of the sudden palringo isn;t working for me. Maybe it never did and I am a classic case of wishful thinking lol

Installed it and it works exactly as you'd expect. Palringo runs well in the background for MSN.
Someone posted it to Digg... Digg - Run iPhone apps in the background!

I just downloaded it. How is the battery usage if you leave an app like aim running in the background?

This sounds like a great way to kill the battery

there should be an option when u press the home button to enable or disable, because after you press the home button the first time to have it run in the background and later go back into the app to answer an IM then press home again it will automatically disable and close!!!

Looks like you definitely have to disable Intelliscreen to get this working. Hopefully they fix this.

Yeah, doesn't Edge not work with data and calls at the same time? So if you have constant data, calls may go right to voicemail.
Also, for those using Intelliscreen, If your using the newest version (beta) with the performance booster, I noticed that by turning that off that backgrounder works. Should work as a temp solution at least.Last edited by PhoneLine; 10-02-2008 at 02:37 PM.
