another flaw is even if you lock SMS and if you get a text and slide to view the txt it doesn't ask for a password. lockdown 4.0 is a great app and im sure it will get better.

Sadly you will have to restore reaper1. I had the same problem and tried everything I could think of.

the point of the lock app is to keep people from quickly launching stuff you dont want if they real fast get a hannd on your phone, right? If you lose your phone and don;t want people to have access you can always just have it remote wiped. No sweat.

Hey, I have lockdown 4 installed on my iphone fw 2.2 and I am creating a theme, and I want to change the look of the keypad that pops up when it asks for the password for my locked apps... I have changed the look of the main keypad when you "Slide to unlock" and it asks for the passcode to use the iphone, but I cant find the keypad images for the keypad that the lockdown app uses... does anyone know where they are stored so I can change them, or use winterboard to change them.... Thanks

/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/DeviceLockKeypad.png
and
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/DeviceLockKeypadPressed.png
And i'm pretty sure this is the same images the unlock screen uses. Its possible that instead of using Winterboard, you may have to overwrite the files with your custom images because they are shared by multiple apps.Praise the Devs! But see thats the funny thing, I also tried that... I replaced the original keypads with the ones I made, restarted the iphone, and the slide to unlock screen displayed my modded ones, but the Lockdown app still used the original looking ones... so I figured they had to have those images saved somewhere else

Lockdown may cache or import those images when it installs, I would try removing and reinstalling lockdown now that you have replaced those images.
I looked through the entire lockdown package, and it does not have any specific keypad images associated with it.
Sorry, thats about all the help I can be.Praise the Devs! To each and every one of you who spend your time writing code and making apps for little or no profit... Its YOU that makes the iPhone great, NOT Apple!! From me to you, a million thanks!!

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking.... I will uninstall it, and try again.... then I will post what happens... Thanks for your help
So I Uninstalled it, deleted all the files i could find that were related to the Lockdown app that was left in my iphone after the uninstall.... then I restarted my phone, then I reinstalled it, of course asked me for my secret word, then the default keypad poped back up... So I have no idea what its doing and maybe I didnt delete all the files related to the app in the phone... But I am all out of ideas....Last edited by whiskey36; 12-03-2008 at 12:00 PM.
