Firmware 2.1 + iblacklist + Mobile Substrate = Safemode Crash?

Hey guys I'm having a problem..

I have kate, Iblacklist (mobile substrate) installed and everytime i recieve a text message, whatever app I'm in crashes. The feature of Iblacklist do work, none of the blocked numbers are getting through and kate is keeping all text messages from being flashed accross the screen properly (security purposes) but for some reason my phone keeps crashing and i have to reboot it to start it over. Any ideas?

Kate is interfering/conflicting with iBlacklist. I run 2.1 + iBlacklist + Mobile Substrate + Kate (without facelift or Privacy) and i'm good to go.

i am on 2.1 with kate. the problem is the mobile substrate, uninstall it from cydia. i got random crashes and everythign was slow. after i uninstalled mobile substrate back to normal no more crashes and the phone is faster and more responsive.

i agree with the last post. 'mobilesubstrate' (installed automatically by Cydia) seems to have been behind much of my performance problems with iphone 3G including crashing and slow startup including individual apps. i would strongly suggest you uninstall it through Cydia and tell your friends.

I was just about to uninstall it cause I just went through the whole process of the software unlock w/ my 16g 3g & everything went perfect. I backed all my cydia apps up w/ aptback up & restored them all. My phone was working flawlessly on 2.2 w a custom ipsw before I did the 3g unlock, but now w/ the exact same apps running it constantly crashes the springboard into safe mode. I read that I should delete mobile substrate here, but I also read what poseidon79 quoted from big boss, & so now I see that it is an essential tool. I am using winterboard, SB settings, & docks (Nate True), but not much else. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Auto Reply...

If anyone else has this issue with crashing to safe mode, Disable your auto-call/text replies; this was the issue with my crashes. I'm presently trouble shooting with a rep from iBlacklist to figure out how to fix the problem with it crashing while auto reply is enabled.

Hope this helps.

Chris
