KeyVib Plugin for BossPrefs
Like the functionality of KeyVib but don't like it taking up space on your SpringBoard? You could Poof it, OR...
You could turn it into a BossPrefs toggle! That's exactly what I did this morning, and instead of keeping it to myself I decided to share it with you all. For now it will need to be installed via SSH, but if I get some good feedback I'll get it up on Cydia. Here are the instructions:
1. Extract the .rar file
2. Place what's in the 'scripts' folder inside /Applications/BossPrefs.app/scripts/
3. Place what's in the 'services' folder inside /Applications/BossPrefs.app/services/
4. Load up BossPrefs, flip the switch, then Respring
5. Enjoy your new vibrating keyboard!
If for some reason it doesn't work for you, set the permissions of the 'KeyVib' folder and everything inside it to 755. Also, if you've previously used the original KeyVib app to enable vibration, please run it again to disable it and then uninstall the app. This should prevent any conflicts from arising.

Every time I turn it on and leave Boss Prefs, it's off the next time I go into Boss Prefs. Did I do something wrong?

me three. no go for me. set permissions for everything to 755. the slider is there with the icon and everything, just doesn't do anything. when i reboot, the slider is back off. do we need to uninstall the keyvib program for this to work?

My toggle switch works fine and remembers it's position and the vibrate works great with key presses.
However, it's either always on or always off, needing a reboot to change state!
I'll be removing it.

because you have to have the key clicks on... that´s what i don´t like about the app...
i hate thos clicking keyboard sounds.. if they´re off keyvib doesn´t work :/
need fix...

So is this a toggle for the existing app or can I uninstall KeyVib and install this instead?
Also, on an unrelated note does that other program Vibrus need to have keyboard sounds enabled to work like KeyVib does? If so I can't wait for it to come out for 3g

Thanks @Untaken. Works like a charm. While I rarely change the setting anyway, I did not care for the automatic swap if the icon was accidentally pressed. Now the KeyVib's on/off condition is set and known. On a side note, I now have the tools to create my own toggles ... 'borrowing' from the work of others
